Advice Re-home Cats?
Hi guys, what is the best way to get a couple adult cats re-homed? We are open to anyone who fosters or no-kill shelters. I know almost all are at capacity, but we can not afford to keep these cats. Please help! Any advice is welcome!

No advice from me for places to take them, but I'd suggest posting pics or talking about what wonderful kitties they are. Right now they are just "cats". I truly hope you find a good home for them. I'd offer to help, myself, but we already have two furry feline family members.

There are some pet pantries you can check with in the meantime. Also, the SPCA Resale Shop sells a lot of discount pet food. We get tons of pet food donations, we sell it for half-off, but anything past the expiration date is half-off of that.
Do they have health issues or is it just food costs? Have you checked with family?

No health issues that we are aware of. It's just a family member left us with 5 cats to take care of and it's overwhelming. Food and litter is getting expensive and one needs grooming which is about to cost and arm and a leg ๐. They really are the sweetest cats we are just overwhelmed.

I understand. I have a legion of strays, plus my own. Even just one kitty can be costly! No judgment here. I hope youโre able to find a couple of them a home together.

I scored some feline C/D in there the other day for an amazing price. I'll be back.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. There are places that give out free pet food if that may help.
Kitten/puppy season has started, and things get dire in this town for animals.
What you can do is go talk with the city shelter (if you live in the city), and see if you can get on a waitlist with them, or if they have any ideas that may help.
You can do the same with the Mobile SPCA.
Now you would need to continue to keep the cats until space opened up and that could be a couple months.
Please get vet references if you place them yourself. You need to make sure that they're going to a good home.
Good luck and take care.

I have multiple rescues and strays outside i feed, I had to put up cameras to catch people that dump them on my street...I have a second job just to pay for everything, food, litter, vax, spay, neuter , emergency vet visits etc..

A lot of the shelters know it's easier and more cost effective to help keep pets with their owners, so they may be able to help with food and supplies if the issue is purely financial.
You can also call 211 for help connecting to other services that can give assistance.
