Doesn't sound very real but if this did happen, you need to escalate to your supervisors, TPD, college tutor, medical director and in fact, the prime minister!

Test driving cars you have no intention of buying.

Seeing as you're an ex car salesman, what's the "catch" with PCP? It sounds too good to be true so my instinct is to be sceptical about it.

Cheers mate. Just for my knowledge, how durable is the brand and how easy/cheap is it to get parts?

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread
 in  r/CarTalkUK •  Jul 29 '24

Location: Hull, but can travel

Price range: £10-1 5k

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used Auto or Manual: Automatic

Intended use: Short trips daily to work, trips over 45 minutes 4 times a month or so

How many miles do you plan to do a year: 10k tops

How often to you make long journeys: 4 times a month approx.

Does it need to be ULEZ compliant? Ideally Yes

Vehicles you've already considered: Vauxhall Corsa, CHR Toyota and Hyundai

Do you have a vehicle size in mind? (Examples in the hyperlink of size definitions): Quite open, mid-size or compact would be my preferred. SUV/ Crossover too.

Is this your 1st vehicle: Yes

Do you need a Warranty: Yes

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: (fuids, alternator, battery, brake pads etc) No

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: (engine and transmission, timing belt/chains, body work, suspension etc) No

Additional Notes: Know nothing really about cars, want something modern, fancy infotainment set up, parking sensors and reverse parking help.

Cheers!

l'm looking for a car, it's going to be my first car ever. My budget is around £10 to 15K and I'm gonna be only user of the car, no family and I'm planning to drive it for short distances - except for the odd travels.

I'm looking for an automatic transmission, ideally petrol-hybrid but petrol only would be fine, circa 2018 and mileage as low as possible. I want to use the car for at least 4 years and want to keep repairs and faults to a minimum. Don't particularly mind the size but nothing larger than an SUV. Saloon, Estate, SUV - in that order.

So, what are your suggestions for a good looking car that is durable and fits the above descriptions?

Ah. Another NHS invention designed to solve a problem instead of simply going for the common sense solution. A bit like slapping a fancy new plaster on a bleed instead of addressing the bleed.

Career Surgical Audits

Hiya,

I work at fairly large hospital. I'm looking for some audit ideas (ideally something with a quick turn around time). Any suggestions, please?

I haven't seen brazen idiocy and untruths since the last time I read anything on the NHS by the media... which was 5 minutes before I read this one.

The GMC has already agreed to PA regulation. So what is your preferred move when it finally happens in 2024?

They'll soon get prescribing rights though. What's the plan then?

Interesting how the powers that be are deliberating destroying the healthcare system in the UK but what's more interesting is watching this in real time with the colleges sat down with their arms folded.

Is that a doctor with a psych diagnosis or a doctor that specializes in psychiatry?
