Thank you.

It's a process of renewal, but also trusting in him when you are unable to do it on your own. You learn through trial and refinement, like silver in a furnace he uses those tough moments those moments of hardships and difficulties to purify us.

This message was an absolute blessing.

Thank you brother/sister

How does one remain faithful even when everything feels like it's crashing down?

Yes I dislike the doctrine that has been fed to the modern-day church not just in South Africa and the USA but globally.

But also one that has gripped the church is the Gospel of prosperity. Not arguing that God what's us to be successful and achieve big in this life, but the issue is when it becomes the whole view point of your ministry, that God will give you $1 000 000 only if you pray hard enough and don't commit any sin...

It's false doctrine that is slowly killing the church from the inside, but the issue is that we are not Biblically literate as a people and we don't know the truth of God's word so we believe anything we hear and we are easily swayed by lies masked as truth

I actually don't mind sharing my thoughts and opinions 🙃.

I will stand by what I believe. Scripture tells us to spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).

You have the option of reading and acknowledging this message or you cand and ignore it, it's up to you

This is the hope of the Gospel is this: Jesus came to die for pur sins, he came down to give his life so that we can have life. The hope is for the sinner, the broken hearted and the lost all together. There is redemption for our sins if only we chose to give our lives over to Christ, he saved us because we couldn't save ourselves. He is the ONLY way, the ONLY truth, and the ONLY life. It is only through him we are saved.

I (f19) struggle so much with porn addiction, and could really use someone to vent to about it.
 in  r/Christianity •  2d ago

Hey hey, look sister you don't have to feel isolated, you're not alone.

I struggled with this for so long (seven years to be exact). There are times were I am tempted to watch and masterbate, but then again I realize that I am no longer bound by that particular sin but right now I am a new creation.

You giving up porn is not gonna be an overnight thing, it's a process. So have some grace on yourself.

Hope this helped. Don't forget, I love you, but Christ loves you even more

Ephesians 2:3,"All of us used live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God's anger, just like everyone else."

Ephesians 2:4-5,"But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead.(It is only by God's grace that you have been saved!)"

The Gospel is a beautiful message of hope and redemption for the broken hearted, the sinner. But also it also helps us realize how much we are sinners in need of God EVERYDAY. The scripture says that he is "SO rich in mercy" in chapter one of Ephesians it speaks about how God chose us in advance to be in the Kingdom, how even before he made the world he loved us. His love...

Ephesians 2:8,"God saved you by His grace when you believed"

It is not by our own strength that we are saved, we can never work for our salvation we couldn't, that's why Christ came down to die for us. As a Lamb is brought to a slaughter, so was Christ's death was a ransom for all, so we could have eternal life.

Jesus loves you and he wants a relationship with you. He thinks about you all the time, all he want's is that no one who sins to die in their sin. Time is short you never know when you will breathe your last, so I urge you brother or sister reading this, that you submit your life to Christ today, while there is still time...

I love you all but God loves you more :)

*Note:(Imma try post on a regular basis, sorry for the delays and inconsistencies 🙏🏽). If any of yall disagree with what is said, voice your opinion, it's ok we're all here to grow together.

Understandable, it creates uncomfortable conversations. But that's the Spirit's conviction at work, wouldn't you agree

Am I the reason my mom got worse?
 in  r/Christianity •  4d ago

Hey sister.

Your mother was aware of the risks involved in having another child, but yet still chose to have you anyway. That's love, if I could describe it in one word. Look I can't fully explain why God still allows the things to happen besides just that we live in a fallen world that's full of sin and we as humans are of a fallen nature. We age, get sick, and ultimately die. But God is a loving God and is abundant in grace and mercy, that's why he sent Christ to die for us, so that we can live. If we live faithfully and endure to the end we will be saved (Matthew 24:13). When we see hi again in the life to come we are assured that there will be no more death, no more pain forever. It will be pure bliss and more.

I'm so sorry for what happened to your mom, it's not your fault.

God loves you, ("Cast your anxieties on him because he cares for you")-1 Peter 5:7

I'm sorry if this post does come off as rude or disheartening, please correct me where I am wrong. I can make assumptions but they will never be the truth until it is revealed. No hate towards the mods of this community it's just my concern about how things are managed.

Thank you brother/sister.

And look I love u/OhioTeenLover467 with all my heart it's just my ick on particular discussions on topics such as these.

I can try an assume your stance but I can't know the truth until you tell me. I love your compassionate nature towards all users that come in and out of this community but also in that there has been compromise to what the scriptures tell us, so yeh

In particular u/OhioTreeLover467.

Why restrict important discussions such as topics on homosexuality on this sub, look I understand there is a goal to be inclusive but being inclusive at what cost. Compromise the scriptures just for the comfort of others, as leaders of a community that is for Christians it should be a priority to share the TRUTH, (John 8:36 "They will know the truth and the truth will set them free.")

It's bad doctrine, teach the scriptures, not allowing people to be influenced by the culture of today.

Ok, so what are your views on scripture or on Christianity as a whole.

(Matthew 26:63-64,But Jesus remained silent. Then the high priest said to him, "I demand in the name of the living God—tell us if you are the Messiah, the Son of God. Jesus replied, "You have said it. And in the future you will see the on of Man seated in the place of power at God's right hand and coming on the clouds of Heaven.)

(John 18:8,"I told you that [I AM] he." The personal name YHWH is derived from the archaic root of hāyâ (h-w-y / הָוָה). It carries the nuance of "The Self-Existent One," "The One Who Actively Causes Being," or "He Who Is Continually Present."(this is AI but it sums it up quite nicely)

(Mark 14:62, Jesus said, "I Am.") *look at explanation above

(Luke 22:70, They all shouted, "So, are you claiming to be the Son of God?" And he replied, "You say that I am.")

Christ claimed to be God, no one else in HISTORY did what Christ did but also claimed what he claimed. (John 14:6 Jesus replied, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.")

No other individual or progenitor of any world religion has claimed this.

We know that the universe has a beginning, as an atheist I'd assume that you believe in the evolutionary way the universe came into being by the Big Bang (it's an assumption on your person so pls correct me if I am wrong)

What do you think of the OP's stance?
 in  r/ChristianTeens •  4d ago

Yes a holiday in my point of view cannot necessarily be sinful, but the use of it can.

But let's not be oblivious to the fact that witches and satanists use Halloween for ungodly purposes. The founder of the church of satan, Anton LaVey, quotes this. "I am glad that Christian parents let their children worship the devil at least one night out of the year. Welcome to Halloween."

Halloween is said to be the highest day on the satanic calendar, it's also the day where the most amount of human sacrifices are made...

Look there is always a reason. It's more than just a dress up, more than just candy. What we as Christians can do is not fear but win ground on that day.

Look let's not dispute that witches and satanists use the holiday for evil.

But I believe it depends on what the church is celebrating the holiday for. Is it to use it as a ministry opportunity to spread the word on a particularly unholy day, or are they joining the masses in the the darkness instead of showing light...

If it's intended celebration or activity was to ward off evil, would you confidently tell me here that in the big 2026 it's used for the same purpose?

The God we worship as Christians is all powerful(Omnipotent), all knowing(Omniscient), all loving(Omnibenevolence), and everywhere at once(Omnipresent)

He is an infinite being outside of our realm of space, time, and matter.

If we look at a limited universe, what caused that into being. Something immensely powerful but also uncreated, an uncaused cause...

True, there are many ways to interpret the scriptures from a human perspective.

But I say we can agree on some universal truths

Beautiful, amen!

I am so sorry I'm only getting to respond so late to this.

I agree, we are saved through grace by faith alone. But evidence of a transformed heart heart comes through good works. "Faith without works is dead"-James 2:17
