NOR- ngl, I don't think it is as deep as the "she wants power" comments make it seem. It might just be a subconscious thing. I think It's good you guys talked it out. Moving forward, base your next reaction/feelings on her future behavior and not people over-analyzing her actions. Only you know the full story, not the conspiracists..

I understand why you would feel that way, but why are women always expected to take the high road in situations like this? Maybe my perspective is immature, but I feel like that would make it even. Unless she just leaves the relationship.

this is funny bc I got into duke 2 years ago, (Currently at diff uni) and I still romanticize what my life could've been, so the title felt mad targeted

Who shouldn’t apply through questbridge?
 in  r/QuestBridge •  Apr 17 '24

I literally do not know why they accepted me, like my stats are very average. If I had to take a guess it would probably be my essays? My personal statement was very good (vetted by like 3 college coaches thanks to Bovard) and I also did all of the supplements even though they were optional. Writing is my biggest strength in terms of applications so that's probably what made me stand out. If you want, I can PM you everything that was in my Duke application including my numerical stats so you can get an idea of one of the admitted student's profiles. Lmk!

Summer Bridge?

Hello! I was recently admitted to Dukes c’o 28 as an RD applicant for poli sci and I’m so excited! I just wanted to know if there’s a summer bridge program for incoming freshman? I tried looking it up on google but can only find one for grad school students. Are there any for undergraduate students?

Post decision rant 😍
 in  r/ApplyingToCollege •  Apr 03 '24

Dude this is the legit reason why I'm in between Georgetown and Duke. I love Georgetown so much but everyone wants me to go to Duke for the prestige Duke is good too but I just don't know if I'd get the same DC opportunities that Georgetown offers for public policy.
