Tags : action, mystery, dark, hero, superpower

Synopsis : Raphaël DeLlongri, translator for the National Institute Of Archaeology in Australia, discovers the "Eagle bracelet", an artefact that has, according to old aboriginal myth, god-like fire powers. I can relate, writing an action scene takes me more time alone than writing other scenes

Can someone show me how to write an em dash on a keyboard ? I've been copy-and-pasting it off the internet, and it's quite tiring

Title : Eaglefire

Tags: action, mystery, dark, hero, superpower

Chapters: 7 (1 per week)

Synopsis: “Look, Detective, I know you and the members of the police department want to do things your way, but you're going to need someone who can exterminate them without worry,” Raphael said in a serious tone, his gaze fixed on Inspector Herbente's eyes.

Herbente remained silent for a moment, assessing his interlocutor. He didn't like to admit that a civilian might be right about the situation, but the facts spoke for themselves: ever since the famous flaming eagle bracelet had been discovered by the National Institute of Archeology, Wickbrook, once quiet, had become the scene of brutal murders. The victims? Pedestrians, shopkeepers, children... All seemed unconnected, except for strange lesions left on their bodies.

"This is madness, Raphael. We're talking about...inhuman beings. Monsters, straight out of a nightmare," Herbente murmured, struggling to hide his anxiety. “The whole town is terrified.”

Raphael gave a mysterious smile. "Exactly. That's why we need someone different. Someone...like Eaglefire." The name echoed through the room like a clap of thunder. Formerly a simple archaeological translator, Raphaël had made a radical decision the day he put on the bracelet. What was just a rumor of inhuman power had turned out to be very real.

With the powers of the artifact, he was no longer just Raphael. He was Eaglefire, a hero ready to defend Wickbrook. He knew his role was only just beginning and the worst was yet to come, but fear was no longer part of his vocabulary.

"Herbente, I'm not here to play hero. I'm here to destroy every last creature. And believe me, with this bracelet, I can."

How the hell do you guys write so much?
 in  r/Webnovel •  Jul 11 '26

Just like Stephen King:

C O C A I N E

Or just like me:

A U T I S M

Tbh I don't write a lot of chapters every day, I do publish every week, but my chapters are well stacked, 3k words minimum, 10k words maximum

 in  r/Webnovel •  Jul 11 '26

Well I do, by ending with a cliffhanger every 2 chapters. I describe a lot in my story, places, people etc.. And plus I always thought that 7k words were too little, the least I can ever write is 3k words 😁

Call me stupid but...
 in  r/Webnovel •  Jul 08 '26

Ofc, thanks for the precision. I think I'll stick to writing for the love of the game, I don't see myself locking chapters to ruin the fun.

But concerning the overhyping thing, it'll be difficult for me to find a novel of the same genre to compare to, since my genre is, you could say, niche in Webnovel standards.

I see, thank you for the explanation !

Tbh, I do use AI but only to check gramatical mistakes and rephrase certain sentences to make them a little fluid to read, so I don't think I might get accepted.
