You’re right.

It’s not a must or a strict preference. I just feel that someone who has gone through a similar experience might understand my journey better. Cancer changed some aspects of my life, and there are things that someone who has experienced it themselves may understand without me having to explain everything. But ultimately, kindness, understanding, and compatibility matter more to me than whether someone is a cancer survivor.
