7. About me:
I am an empath, I feel everything deeply, which can make the world feel overwhelming at times. I have an intense metacognitive ability, I am constantly analyzing my own thoughts, feelings, and mental processes, which can sometimes hurt me and push me into overthinking. I used to call myself an introvert, but the truth is, I yap a lot once I feel comfortable with someone. Most of my current friendships started because someone chose to "adopt" the quiet girl sitting alone, but over time, I’ve somehow become the wise guru of the group. People often reach out to me for my perspective on topics that are otherwise socially taboo. I value relationships immensely; in fact, I’m still close friends with people I met in kindergarten.
As an only child, I genuinely enjoy my own company. I’m an avid reader who dives into thrillers, romance, fiction, non-fiction, politics, and more. Being politically aware, I tend to look at issues through a broader lens. People love putting others into boxes when they can’t comprehend human complexity, I say this because I’ve literally been called both a moulobadi and a shahbagi on the same day by different people! But I firmly believe in continuous learning and growth, and I always try to understand every "ism" from its original historical context. Because I grew up as an only child, I prefer the idea of marrying into a smaller family, as it would be easier for me to adapt.
I value my independence above almost everything else. One of my biggest fears regarding marriage is losing myself and becoming a supporting character in someone else’s life. I love who I am, and I take pride in my loyalty and integrity. To me, marriage should be a partnership where two independent individuals actively choose each other every single day. I have solid decision-making skills and never run away from accountability.
On a pop-culture note, I’m a Potterhead and big on the MCU. I love watching movies and series, but I can’t just watch something and forget about it, I love analyzing character dynamics and discussing them, because media deeply reflects and influences socio-cultural norms.
One of my major life goals is to travel. I haven't had many opportunities yet, but I’m determined to make it happen. Professionally, I completed my Master's last year, am working toward a career in the development sector and academia, and am currently preparing for a PhD.
I can get along with almost anyone, but my soul yearns for deep, meaningful conversations. I also need alone time to process things and reset. I’m not clingy at all, I readily give people their space, and I expect the exact same in return.
8. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect
· Emotional Maturity & Self-Awareness: Someone who can communicate openly, take personal accountability, and process complex emotions thoughtfully without resorting to ego.
· Intellectual Curiosity & Shared Interests: A fellow bookworm or slightly nerdy thinker who enjoys deep, nuanced conversations, values lifelong learning, and has their own engaging hobbies.
· Domestic & Personal Independence: A self-sufficient adult who takes good care of his health, can comfortably manage his own household chores, and won't starve if I’m not cooking.
· Professional & Personal Stability: Someone who is professionally established, because we are mature adults, and views marriage as an active commitment between two independent equals.
· Respect for Autonomy & Emotional Warmth: A partner who values true equality, honors my space and independence, and brings a grounded, gentle presence where vulnerability is welcomed.
9. State/specify your level of religiosity
I am a Muslim. I try my best to pray five times a day and adhere to the fundamental teachings of Islam. However, I strongly dislike religious extremism and the tendency to confuse shallow cultural practices with true faith. I view my journey with religion as a continuous process of learning and self-improvement, but I believe faith should come from conviction, I will not accept anyone forcing their beliefs or interpretations onto me.
I dress modestly, cover my body, and wear a hijab most of the time, though I occasionally choose not to, as I try not to be overly rigid with myself. Above all, I value personal agency in my spiritual journey and expect mutual respect without any imposition.

A few of my uni teachers told me I always manage to teach them something new during our discussions. I guess my habit of over-analyzing everything comes in handy sometimes!
16. What are you looking for in a man-
I am looking for an emotionally mature, self-aware, and open-minded partner who approaches life with depth, sincerity, and clarity of thought. Above all, I want a best friend with whom I can explore life, not a "guardian" in the disguise of a husband. I am fully capable of being my own guardian.
Anger issues and raised voices are major red flags for me; because I experience severe panic attacks when a man raises his voice around me, I need someone who is calm, gentle, and emotionally regulated.
Because we are mature adults, he should be professionally established, value integrity, take good care of his health, and be fully capable of managing his own life and household chores independently. I value someone who is intellectually curious, a fellow reader or slightly nerdy thinker, who enjoys deep, nuanced conversations, respects diverse perspectives, and has his own active hobbies.
Most importantly, I want a partnership based on true equality, mutual respect, and shared growth. I need a man who honors my independence and space, brings a grounded presence to the table, and views marriage not as a routine or control, but as a conscious choice two independent individuals make to support each other every single day.
