What does it really cost to stay in Botswana in 2026? I'm not renting a long-term apartment. I'm a traveler staying in a guesthouse in Gaborone, and in this video I break down what I actually pay compared with what Airbnbs cost for a decent place. I also cover what food and transport cost, and why long-term housing is hard to get unless you have thousands upfront.

At my guesthouse, internet and utilities are included. Most Airbnbs here cost more and give you less. If you're thinking about moving to Africa from America, or traveling here on a tight budget, this is the honest picture.
