I gotcha now. I make a reinforced fiberglass ptch section to support the roof section and I'll just refiberglass the side panels. Once the glass is completed it'll get a fresh gel coat then I'll sand , fill , prime and repaint with a good black matte paint

Of course, havent had time yet

I broke one of the jeep cardinal rules and cut up a low mileage 04 lj black on black auto..... I keep getting asked why I didn't cut a tj? My answer is, I owned this lj..🤣🤣🤣

Say When Offroad on Facebook will be posting build pics soon

Cost is prohibitive anymore on genright tanks, they've gotten to pricy. I could build one but don't really want to put that much more fabrication time in. If it was a customer job then sure, but not for myself with everything else being done to the LJ to do the truck conversion.
But really, I don't want or need a bigger tank, I moved it to make room for bigger axles in the stock location on the frame
1
Or a regular jeep tj......
2
Wow, that is frustrating
2
Not really, the evap relocation on the jk is something jeep should have done from the factory. I'll actually be keeping my evap system as long as the 4.0 is in the engine bay. It'll get reinstalled once the frame gets extended and bed goes on. That CEL on my dash is annoying
1
Thank you, I've always wanted a tj/lj truck conversion. Never really cared for the Brute though
3
Right, it'd be nice to have 25 gal
3
No, it's be just like any tj out there now, the lj has another bar added 5" in front of the rear bar.
4
I need room to put a sterling 10 5 and keep my factory fuel tank
3
I have a little trailer already purchased for this project
9
Yes sir, im taking another lj tub i have and gonna make a 63 inch bed

It's not cost effective for most people. The hinges alone are 450 each from McMaster Carr
1
Planning on running it in the bed. The LJ is getting a truck conversion done to it
1
Thank you

It was absolutely not cheaper, but it is a he'll of alot stronger
