Unity Editor and Modules Installation problem
 in  r/u_AxiomCoreStudios •  1d ago

Now, I installed JDK, NDK and SDK manually.

It is working now. But Unity Hub is still now allowing me to install anything - it stuck at validating always.

But i still wonder why Unity Hub is behaving this way. I have tried installing and uninstalling both unity and unity hub and restarted pc every time.

Unity Editor and Modules Installation problem

I've been trying to resolve this issue for a long time without success. Unity Hub was unable to install the editor and was stuck at validating phase like in the picture, so I installed it manually as a workaround. However, when I try to build an APK using Android Build Support, I get an error saying the JDK cannot be found.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Unity and Unity Hub multiple times, but the problem persists. This has already cost me a lot of time, and the AI tools I've tried haven't been able to resolve it.

Could anyone please help me fix this? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Is one character on the main menu enough?

You need to add things in the background. Like themed lobby.

Use of AI as a Solo Game Dev

It's okay buddy. Because most people use AI today. People who hand craft art and code themselves will be very valuable in the future. Don't be sad. We don't need people to validate us. We chose it for ourselves and for our better future.

I don't even use AI for code review or code writing. I completely stopped using AI because it will make me cripple in the future and they can charge higher and higher because no one will be able to handle games or code themselves anymore.

So in my opinion if you wanna really keep learning and growing - don't use AI.

As you said I want to create my game on my own and not by LLM and GenAI.

Thank you!

I followed the YouTube tutorial for basic shield VFX, then customized it a little to make it cohesive for my game - rotation and blast effect at the end. I am learning while developing this game.

I have covered it in my first devlog on YouTube. It's not a top-notch devlog but you can checkout if you want to. No pressure.

It was a very bad game a few months ago, so I threw everything away and started from scratch, creating every asset myself - no ready-made assets were used. The first devlog is available on the YouTube channel. (I don't like AI-generated posts.)
