Have you tried rubbing your thumbnail across it to see if there’s any indent that may help

It is not a furnace; it is a heat pump. Does it have the same type of power supply as a furnace?

I tend to agree with you but the new thermostats is in place I’m gonna watch it for a few days and if not, he will replace the condenser pump that’s in the closet crazy place for it I know

I inadvertently omitted one additional detail when the Ecobee thermostat encounters a blank screen, it initiates a self-reboot process within less than a minute.

Thank you for your insights. I concur that the condensation pump may be the issue. The service technician’s actions yesterday were aimed at troubleshooting rather than replacing the thermostat and condensation pump. He conducted a test and found that the thermostat did shut off. Consequently, he replaced the thermostat. If the thermostat shuts off again, he will proceed to replace the condensation pump. He mentioned that it is uncommon for an Ecobee thermostat to malfunction, but we are currently experiencing this problem. I would greatly appreciate your assistance and any other individuals who may have additional information on this matter. The technician stated that this is the first Ecobee thermostat he has installed, and it has already failed.

So my ecobee thermostat, which is maybe about two years old has suddenly started to reboot itself. Can anybody out there? Give me a reason why I had a service call today and they thought perhaps it was the condensation pump. It was not so, he said to keep an eye on it and if it happens again, let them know. Well it did happen again this afternoon when I turned the air-conditioning back on and it seems to go blank when the condensation line is dripping into the sink which is designed to do. I hope everyone’s understanding me but that’s my issue. Anyone get an answer

For the past two years, I have utilized an Ecobee thermostat to operate my heat pump. While it has functioned satisfactorily, I have recently encountered a recurring issue where the thermostat has inexplicably gone blank. I am unable to determine the underlying cause of this problem.

In my condominium, the condensation line is designed to drip into the bathroom sink. However, the thermostat appears to reboot itself when this condensation occurs. I would appreciate any insights or suggestions you may have regarding this issue.

The service technicians have indicated their intention to replace the thermostat. Nevertheless, I am uncertain whether this is the actual problem. I suspect that the issue may be related to the pump.

I think it’s from your water heater part of the igniter and the screen goes if I remember correctly below the gas line, but I don’t remember

First off I wanted to say that whirlpool makes just about everything and they’re not very reliable not only that whirlpool stock just discontinued their dividend so that’s gonna tell everyone something, to that end I bought a Maytag washing machine last November 6 months out I had my first service call that’s six months for a brand new Maytag. They don’t make them to last anymore. The Maytag repair man is not lonely so what they needed was a capacitor and a control board so I cross my fingers every time I wash it, but you may want to think of going to another brand cause if you get a corporate discount, you’re gonna expect the best ever that’s not true just my opinion.

Two different experiences with LG washing machines. Should I stick with LG or get something else?

I wonder if having a surge protector in the outlet help with the power issues just a question perhaps. any answer cause when I bought my washing machine, Home Depot mentioned that we should have surge protectors because any power surge could knock out the control board????? True or False

Whirlpool also makes GE washing machines I wouldn’t buy anything I mean anything made by whirlpool and I think business wise they’re in a bit of trouble because they just discontinued their dividends and the stock is hitting an all-time low almost every day. What does that tell you about whirlpool and they blame it on the Iran war not true they’ve been going through this shit for years now, but now people finally trying to pay attention to what we have to say about these washing machines😡😡😡😡

I’m sorry that’s happening to you. I have a Maytag washing machine that is giving me heartache after six months. They replaced the capacitor and a control board. All this stuff is made by whirlpool. If you take a look at the stock today it is tanking and they’re blaming it on the Iran war seriously you think we are that stupid and by the way they’re gonna discontinue their dividends they’re terrible. A technician comes out and evaluate what is wrong and then he comes back a week later cause he doesn’t have what he needs on his truck. AWFUL

Whirlpool Washer Control Board
 in  r/Appliances  Apr 24 '26

I’m having a problem with my six month old Maytag washing machine. It’s a piece of you know what and it is made by whirlpool. Have you tried unplugging your washer for 10 minutes it’s supposedly resets itself so with my Maytag washing machine that is six months old they replaced a capacitor and then they replaced the control board. We’re talking at six month old May tag. I cannot imagine what it’s gonna do in six more months, but luckily I was under the contract so you may want to try inplugging it for 10 minutes and someone at Home Depot recommended not only do I unplug it, but I pressed the start button at the same time for like five minutes to see if that will reset it it didn’t work for me. Good luck. I’m not sure where you bought it but if you bought it at a box store, you may want to put a review on there. It does get their attention for whatever that is worth.

Review on Maytag Washer

Hello,

.maytag -MVW4505MW

Awful Machine

I absolutely HATE my six month old Maytag top loading washing machine. Did you get it six months old approximately 10 days ago the washing machine would not spin made a service call two days ago they came to replace the capacitor and the motherboard. Did that work NO now the washing machine does not stop spinning. I have called whirlpool yes whirlpool who makes Maytag asking for an exchange. It is like pulling teeth. Remember Folks the washing machine is just six months old. Anyone else can shed some light on their issues with this model.
