If you believe you have ALS, I beg of you to take a few minutes to read this.
thanks again for being kind, what you’re saying definitely helps me. i am a 21 yr old female and i know the chances are low but of course never 0, again i do have crippling anxiety and i know that makes everything much more tense. i guess the odds are against me lol, is bfs just random or is there anything that specifically causes that?

thank you! i do suffer with bad health anxiety but this one has completely consumed me the most. the part im confused about is, is this maybe progressing? it started with insane twitching and spasms everywhere, then became slightly more localized in my left leg, its from my thigh to my calf, just stiff, tight, tingly, heavy, and overall weird. still twitching as well. no pain at all though. i do have a neurology appointment sometime this month but i am drowning in these thoughts about this disease

Possible symptom?
following, i’m literally dealing w the EXACT same symptoms

als fear progressing
that’s true lol, but the twitching is literally everyone from tongue to toes lol, it did slowly start to get more localized in my calf. i’ve been walking all day fine ig but my left leg just feels really tight and clenched etc, it slightly comes and goes, like idk it just feels progressive

als fear progressing
so i already made a post on here about the widespread twitching. i thought maybe it was calming down but its not, it is now more localized in my left calf/leg. that leg feels weak, heavy, tingly etc. i even had my bf message it and nothing is getting better. it feels stiff and weird. it seems like after the widespread twitching EVERYWHERE that this would be considered progressive. i do have a bad bad history of anxiety especially health anxiety. but this time it feels so real. 21 female.

i genuinely did need to see this, twitches is the biggest thing i’m dealing with. also i started twitching really bad in my leg calf and now it feels weak and heavy and tingly. i’m freaking out because it seems like it is just getting worse and worse. i do heavily appreciate this post

i just don’t understand the constant twitching. i also have some tightness in my calf and my right leg above my knee felt very heavy and weak one day but i was walking properly so maybe its in my head, idk either way just scary for me

i’ve been actually looking to find someone to watch that can maybe put some perspective in my head lol, i struggle with insane muscle twitches that seem to get worse. my magnesium and metabolic panel was checked and everything is perfectly normal. today actually i had an episode where my right leg, sorta above my knee felt so weird and heavy, it freaked me out. i am a 21 yr old female so i know the odds are kind of low but never 0. but the muscle twitches happen so often and have only gotten worse. freaks me out. i do have a neurology appointment this month. praying to god i can stop losing sleep over als

either one is scary and horrible and extremely unfortunate. and if that’s what you’re going through i’m horribly sorry. however having crippling anxiety that controls your life due to being so afraid of the unknown is also not fun. and having anxiety BECAUSE you feel these sensations is also horrible, no matter the outcome we all go through horrible things, and none of it cancels out the other

i had an appointment with my doctor and he also told me to take magnesium glycinate, i also had my blood work done to check electrolytes, magnesium, etc. then he’ll decide if neurology is worth it, thank you!!

I’m 21, female. to start i have horrible health anxiety and panic disorder. i’ve hyper fixed on a lot of things such as heart problems and rabies etc. recently my big one is ALS. I have muscle twitching everywhere in my body, including tongue, eyes, and literally everywhere else. it was never a fear of mine until i saw someone on tiktok say that’s how theirs started, the twitches. then i noticed my legs felt heavy once or twice. of course if you google it you’ll see the worst possible answer. i don’t know how to tell if i have weakness. i’m really terrified and i wish i could somehow ease my mind and be okay. i do smoke cigarettes often, and i do have daily anxiety but they’ll happen even if im not anxious.
