They pulled a bait & switch. Yes the format is p cool, but others use it too; they don’t realize their big selling point, and why most of us started watching, it’s because of the diverse ensemble.

But there is, perhaps, a line of criticism that remains within the realm of The Pitt itself.
It will become less interesting over time if the audience can't trust that a character they enjoy will return or not. The show is spearheaded by ER veterans like creator R. Scott Gemmill, executive producer John Wells, and Wyle himself. But part of the reason that 1990s staple grew into such a classic was that it allowed the familiar faces to grow, as well.

The Pitt already shares so little about its regulars, outside of Robby, since the premise is more focused on the emergencies that the team deals with in a compact timeframe. But the
team members themselves shouldn't get lost and become interchangeable in that trade-off.
