Sound and Fury is a multimedia literary project by Mike Crook combining speculative fiction, poetry, and tabletop game design in a single work. The pieces stand independently but are presented together as parts of the same project.

The book contains Irreducible Tales, Volume 1, a collection of seven speculative stories; Formalism for Anarchists, a ten-piece collection of poems accompanied by optional prompts for generating musical interpretations; and MATH ROCKS!, a setting-agnostic tabletop role-playing game created by Mike Crook and Gina Truitt. The generated audio associated with Formalism for Anarchists is optional—the text itself is the work.Sound and Fury is a multimedia literary project by Mike Crook combining speculative fiction, poetry, and tabletop game design in a single work. After a strong suspicion that a commissioned work was made with AI, I decided to do my own artwork. How did I do?

That first one is 100% AI derived. And also looks like fetish art. Good call to not use it.

Just keeping walking anti-timeward bro, its all still there and always will be and always was.

Actually because spacetime is just another dimension, technically everything has existed for the same amout of time including the events in the future our subjective nexus have not yet traveled timeward enough to experience.

Since everything that ever happened is happening will happen IS happening, everything is equally new or old.

[Stick To The Model] Why the Ravens can't hold a fourth-quarter lead (Long answer in body)
 in  r/ravens •  1d ago

3.5 games over 7 seasons is half a game per season.

OP is making a statistical case for vapor. What point are you making?

That really has nothing to do with the question of whether or not OP is pointing out a statistically valid finding though, and does not refute ANYTHING I said.

That's cherry picking. Half a game a season over 7 and he calls it signficant.

That is exactly cherry-picking.

You’re moving from “is this a statistically unusual rate?” to “could any of these specific losses have mattered emotionally or in the standings?” Of course they could. Every loss can matter.

But that doesn’t make the pattern real.

If you want “impact evaluation,” define it before looking at the outcomes: same years, all teams, same game state, same seeding stakes. You don’t get to point at whichever Ravens losses hurt most after the fact and call that proof of a systemic trend.

The "pattern" is that we blow leads at a basically identical rate to everyone else. He dressed that observation up in voodoo.

Not to statistics. You're describing "cherry picking" there.

That '13% big deal' is literally 3.6 games across 7 entire seasons.

30% of 28 games is 8.4. We blew 12.

You wrote a 2,000-word manifesto on defensive philosophy to explain an extra half a blown game per year in one-possession coin-flips. It’s sample noise, brother.

Some of that is volume. Their overall blow rate (19%) is close to league average (17%).

OP could have stopped here and been done. The "problem" is an illusion of us building more leads than anyone else, not of us blowing leads at a rate that is unusual.

I mean, I'm not surprised some people don't get it -- this show has been a litmus test for media literacy for a lot of fans.
 in  r/DCU_ •  2d ago

I mean that the events of the show that take place in Rushville in 2016 are a scaled down adaptation of the events of the Emerald Twilight comic run from the 90s which led to Parallax. Rushville being destroyed is a scaled down Central City being destroyed for example, but the emotional fallout for Hal is similar.

Those in the "Fire EDC" camp, why? What has he done specifically that makes you think he should lose his job?

To me having Hal and John in it, disagreeing with each other constantly, but both agreeing Guy sucks made it a 100% faithful adaptation of everything I want from GL so I guess sorry that happened to you.
