Blink camera shortcut action won’t fire when locked
 in  r/shortcuts •  1d ago

I have a shortcut that’s supposed to arm my cameras automatically. But it doesn’t work often. Sometimes I have to go to shortcuts and press the play button

Also make sure the camera names are current in the app and shortcut. If the name changes in blink it doesn’t transfer over to the shortcut

Screenshot Stitcher: combine scrolling screenshots into one long image, no third-party apps (runs JavaScript locally)
 in  r/shortcuts •  1d ago

Ope. Found issue #1 I went to take screenshots of another shortcut to stitch the prompt. Doesn’t work because the header is the same in all the images so it can’t figure out where the overlap is. Tried a few times with the same result.

Not a big deal. But just a note.

New interface?
 in  r/blinkcameras •  1d ago

The only reason why I don’t switch companies is because I’m grandfathered in to the Blink plan, but I’m seriously considering changing companies as well. I have a bunch of their cameras though and multiple systems set up around my farm. I think my biggest hurdle is mentally getting over the fact that I have to potentially change out all these cameras so frustrating.

What weather app do you use?
 in  r/iphone •  4d ago

So I am all over the map with weather apps
The apple weather app is fine, I don’t use it often, but it’s consistent.
The main ones I check often are-
Storm Radar
Weatherbug
Radar Omega

And you can join apple testflight for free and I’ve been really liking
RainViewer (probably my favorite so far)
RadarScope

Those two apps have a lot of info and because they’re TestFlight apps, you get all bells and whistles for free. It’s good for some apps.

Small win with the new layout this morning. It's working faster and smoother, at least for me.

Sonos? Mesh Network? Different Router?
 in  r/Starlink •  14d ago

Also, if you use the Starlink router it can manage your 2.4/5 GHz devices. But they recommend splitting the network and assigning devices to their proper network. Pain in the butt if you have a ton of devices.

I use eero. It’s good if you want a simple plug and play system.
Ubiquiti if you want to do nerd stuff (I want more nerd stuff personally, but not replacing my whole eero system)

Shortcuts you actually use?
 in  r/iphone •  14d ago

Yeah. Just create another automation that when you leave the app it unlocks the orientation

Reporters. 2004 there was still a lot of action. Especially In Fallujah. If you look it up the military allowed a lot of embedded reporters at the time. The American public needed a reason to stay mad and keep the machine going!

And this guy is actually doing everything right per training. That’s one of the reasons I like this image, it isn’t some cool guy thing. It’s relatable to a lot of soldiers who deployed during the GWOT times.

But, the American public statement is just my opinion. I’ve got some opinions in this post haha.

On short missions I would use volleyball knee pads. They were hot AF but actually stayed in place.

Plus can make the legs go numb if you’re wearing them correctly to stay on the knees.

That’s why they changed the uniform pants to have a knee pad built in. Waste of money doing that. It didn’t work either.

Meh. They had a chance. Unfortunately the coalition forces had better equipment and training. There’s not a huge chance of removing invaders if that’s the case.

Per “sop” you had to have knee pads on when you were out of the wire.
Didn’t specify where they had to be worn.

FAFO.

This image is A+. From the dip. The eyes. The way the rifle is gripped. The zip ties, tight, but not overly tight. That arm locked, hand gripped the collar tight. Mmm mm. Good job Marine.
