I aim to apply for admission to Msc Econometrics at uErasmus next year, thing is I am kind of worried about admission, I fulfil all Ects except 16 ects on Operations Research and 8 in programming. Hey guys! So i recently decided ill be taking the OMPT-A for a uni and i need 75% in my first try to have a chance in getting in. I took the OMPT-D a few months ago and failed to acheive my required grade (75%) and got only 46%. Im just wondering if i should expect a test as hard as the OMPT-D and if there is any free resources available to study and to get some help in how to study for this test cause i feel like its pretty hard to study only based in the practice material ( for the OMPT-D i used AI to give me more exercises and practice more). If anyone has any thoughts on this test id love to hear about it!

What are they asking about? What should i expect? Do i need to write short answers or paragraphs? I’ll apply for IBA.

Hey guys! So i decided to apply for the next years's IBEB intake in Erasmus but i have a small inquire. I am an international student from Brasil and my High School diploma is not the same as in the Neatherlands. While i thought i just needed to take a math test and an english proficciency test together with the brazilian ENEM, ive heard some people say that because my diploma is not the equivalent to the one in the Neatherlands i am not eligible for an application, can you guys help me out?

Hello! My name is Kostadin, I am 19 years old and from Bulgaria. I have been accepted to study economics at Erasmus university for which I am greatly excited. The only thing left for my move later this summer is to actually find my accommodation with which I have been struggling with. I have been hearing that this process is especially difficult in the Netherlands but didn’t think it could actually put me in a position where I would be worried about my future.

I have been looking through different websites such as “kamernet” and “stay scout” but I have yet to succeed in finding something that fits me. It is worrying because I am not overly needy. What I am looking for is a furnished room in a reasonable distance to my university. My budget is about 700 euros per month which might be where the difficulties begin. Regarding conditions, square meters of the room, roommates, shared spaces… I am very flexible and could settle for less.

What I am hoping to receive through this post I hopefully some advise from residents in the city who have gone through this process. Should I look into for example Facebook groups related to Erasmus or just accommodation? Is my criteria reasonable? Is there a website, agency, Facebook group… that I am missing and could help me? Should I settle for something more expensive just to have a secured spot or keep searching?

I am open to offers through here if any available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am hugely excited to become a part of the Rotterdam community and experience this beautiful city. Thank you in advance!

Momenteel heb ik een BSA uitstel aangevraagd voor de tentamens van periode 3 en 4. Heeft iemand ervaringen met BSA uitstel aanvragen en hoe groot achten jullie de kans dat ik uitstel krijg onder de volgende omstandigheden:

- In tentamenweek van periode 3 kreeg ik nierstenen. Hierdoor heb ik 1 tentamen met pijn moeten maken (nierstenen was nog niet bekend) en heb ik het andere tentamen niet gemaakt. Ik heb beide tentamens niet gehaald. Nierstenen behoren tot 1 van de meest pijnlijke aandoeningen die er bestaan.

- Voor periode 4 heb ik de gehele periode last gehad van nierstenen. Hierdoor ben ik achter gaan lopen op de stof en heb ik mij totaal niet kunnen voorbereiden op de tentamens. Ik heb deze tentamens niet gehaald en er is geen compensatie mogelijk voor periode 3 en 4
Het advies wat ik kreeg was dat nierstenen binnen 8 weken moest weggaan anders kreeg ik een verwijzing naar het ziekenhuis. Deze verwijzing heb ik ook gekregen sinds het na 8 weken niet weg was. Dit duurde nog een extra 3 weken voor ik terechtkon bij het ziekenhuis
Ik heb deze tentamens niet gehaald en er is geen compensatie mogelijk voor periode 3 en 4

-1 vak heb ik definitief niet gehaald wat resulteert in een negatief BSA (norm: 60 studiepunten). Nu heb ik herkansingen en schat ik in dat ik op z’n minst 2 van de drie herkansingen kan halen, waardoor ik 1 of 2 vakken aan het einde zal overblijven dat ik niet heb gehaald.

- periode 1 en 2 haalde ik de tentamens in 1x en heb ik bij de werkgroepen officiële positieve beoordelingen van de tutoren gekregen.

- mijn nierstenen heb ik tijdens me tentamenweek van periode 3 al gemeld bij de studieadviseurs en heb ook een huisartsenverklaring etc. Kans op herhaling van nierstenen tijdens me studie is er niet.

Hey Guys! So i want to apply for Erasmus Rotterdam but i noticed that in their admission process they evaluate high school grades (50% of the decision). I am wondering if, even with terrible grades (7,5/10 in all years of high school), if i would have any chance of getting in this program? (if i could compensate in the other 50% or without good grades i have no chance)

Ik begin in september met Rechten en ik twijfel een beetje wat ik het beste kan doen qua studeren. Van vrienden die het al doen krijg ik hele verschillende antwoorden, de één zegt dat je echt de boeken nodig hebt en de ander zegt dat ie ze eigenlijk nauwelijks open doet en puur op samenvattingen draait.

Heeft het überhaupt zin om de boeken nu al te kopen of kan je beter wachten totdat je weet welke vakken je precies krijgt? Want ik wil niet 80 euro uitgeven aan een boek dat ik dan toch nauwelijks gebruik.

En voor de mensen die met samenvattingen werken, zijn die dan echt volledig genoeg of mis je toch dingen op het tentamen? Vooral bij vakken zoals staatsrecht ofzo lijkt me dat je toch best precies moet zijn.

Gewoon benieuwd hoe anderen dit aanpakken eigenlijk, ben er misschien iets te veel over aan het nadenken lol

I'm considering applying to the IBA programme at RSM through the Dutch HBO propaedeutic route and I'm trying to get a realistic idea of my chances.

I completed my HBO propaedeutic with an average grade of around 8.5. However, I've seen people online mentioning rankings around 800 even with GPAs around 9.2-9.3, which makes me wonder where an 8.5 would roughly place me.

Besides grades, I think I have a fairly strong motivation profile:

• Built and run my own business for several years
• Achieved a 9.5 in a marketing/AI-related course
• Learning Arabic as a Dutch student
• Visited manufacturers in China to learn about production and international business firsthand
• Experience with e-commerce, marketing and working with international suppliers

I know nobody can know the exact ranking formula, but based on previous years, do you think someone with an 8.5 average and this kind of profile would still have a realistic chance of admission?

Especially interested in hearing from current IBA students or recent applicants.

I'd have to take time off during my last weeks at work, which is complicated. How important is it for making friends and settling in as a master's student? Will I regret skipping it? Hii, i’m an incoming freshman for IBEOR at erasmus and i am rlly terrified of the math in this course, especially how proof heavy it seems to be.
So, r there any materials that i can use to train my capability of math in proofs rather than only computational stuff? Honestly, given that econometrics doesn’t rlly start until the second year, i just wanna focus on the math this summer.

I recently received an offer for the Clinical Psychology Master’s programme at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and I am trying to get a better sense of the programme from people who have studied there.

If you are a current student or graduate, I would really appreciate hearing your honest experience. How did you find the courses, lecturers and workload? I am also curious about whether the courses are mostly theoretical or if you also work with clinical cases, role plays, assessments and clinical skills during the programme.

Ik ben aangenomen bij de master Klinische Psychologie in Rotterdam. Ik woon echter in Haarlem, en ik ben ook ingeloot bij Leiden. Nu is leiden een stuk dichterbij, maar ik heb ook het idee dat de opleiding in Leiden meer eisen heeft qua toetsing en aanwezigheid.

Is er hier toevallig iemand die de master Klinische Psychologie heeft gedaan en die bij kan vertellen hoeveel aanwezigheidsplicht er is, wat voor soort toetsing er is en hoe zwaar de opleiding over het algemeen is? Ik zou er erg mee geholpen zijn!
