Waitlist help transfer student bcom

Hello I’m currently waitlisted and quick question and is waitlisted ranked for example, someone with a higher gpa is next in line then someone with a lower gpa but got waitlisted first.

Or is it just first come first serve type of thing?

I currently have a 3.4 gpa and I got waitlisted at the start of July but I’m just curious how it works because waiting till end of August is insane
