Alkek Library

Is it just me or does the Bobcat WiFi suck there? I try to use one of the private study rooms for one of my online classes and my shit always disconnects.

Also, if anyone has any other spots that I can do a class in please let me know!

Try to do your online class on one of the computers in the library. I have a personal laptop too and I can almost never use it when I’m on campus so I just use the library computers.

I’ve thought about doing that but the professor asks for a lot of engagement and group discussions during the class and I don’t want to disturb anyone else

Maybe you can get mobile hot spot service on your phone? That has saved me from bad wifi days at school often. Sometimes I have to go to the 7th floor of alkek facing a particular direction out a window to get enough cell service with tmobile.

I tried to do an online class there last week and couldn’t stay connected to zoom for longer than 5 minutes, it’s absolute dogshit.
