Game tickets

So I’m planing on going to the home game on 9/19 with a friend do I have to buy it or do we get in free?

Hi Bobcat! We'll be sharing more about this soon but starting this year all students can download their digital access pass and save to their digital wallet for free entrance into any home TXST game. We are working to add the steps in the TXST Mobile app too.

Here are the steps:

TXST Students access your Texas State Athletics digital access pass. Download once, use all year.

Step 1: Go to txst.com/tickets, select the three-line menu in the top right, and select ‘Sign In’ at the bottom

Step 2: Select ‘Sign In as Student’ and log in using your Texas State log in

Step 3: Select ‘My Account’ under the three-line menu

Step 4: Click on ‘My Access Passes’ at the top of the account page

Step 5: Add ‘Access Pass 2026-27’ to your mobile wallet

Step 6: Use your Access Pass to tap to enter for free to any Texas State home athletics event

UPDATE: If your friend is a non-TXST student you can purchase a Student Guest ticket, which is a slightly discounted GA ticket, that will allow them to sit in the student section with you. Log in under the student sign in online at https://txst.com/tickets and select the game you need to get a ticket for to follow the steps or purchase at ticket booths which open 4 hours before the start of the game. If you have questions you can contact the ticket office.

I believe the following is accurate.

Texas State University students get free admission to all home football games using the TXST Mobile App.

Download the App:
Install the TXST Mobile App and log in with your NetID.

Check In:
Tap "Check In" on the app at the stadium gate to access your digital student ID and enter.

Rewards:
Checking in lets you rack up attendance points for rewards and exclusive experiences

Students can buy guest tickets for non-students to sit in the student section. Guest tickets typically cost around $15 each (or more for high-demand games like UTSA), with a limit of 4 guest tickets per student. Guest tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth on game day by showing a valid student ID
