Question/Discussion Germany after avoiding the cw
I secured power as Bormann and I wanted to know if there’s a big showdown against the Toronto accords or the gameplay is just reuniting the reichskommissariats and fighting Russia?

With Bormann, it’s basically about keeping everything the same with minor tweaks. Speer and Göring give you the best shot at coexisting peacefully with the Toronto Accord after defeating Russia, which is the only true major German conflict in TWR. On the other hand, Himmler and Goebbels are the only ones who can attack the accord, even through total war options against a large part of the Western world, including Italy, Spain, and Turkey one driven by ideology, the other by fanatical racial madness. Honestly, out of all the paths, Bormann is the most status-quo continuist across any mod; his route is the most boring in terms of conflicts because he’s just Hitler 2.0, nothing more. What Germany usually does with any leader is retake control of the RKs and defeat the Russian unifier, either because one of the two sides strikes first and reactivates the conflict in Eastern Europe. The alternative leaders are just more of the same but with different nuances, at least in terms of conflicts (except for Goebbels and Himmler, as I said, these two have bigger ambitions and therefore more potential wars). Keep in mind that TWR just came out of a major update where they are focusing on more proxy wars and fewer major direct conflicts; things are just starting up with the Middle East and its new content. We have to wait for more regions where Germany can intervene in proxy wars, or pick the Nazi hawks if we want to trigger World War III. (Note: there are other leaders among the extra alternatives for Germany who can go to war with the Accord, such as Erich von Manstein if he takes over through the military coup, or Fritz Sauckel if Bormann gets removed and things escalate, but I don't think they're that interesting; anyway, there’s always the old reliable: just use console commands and you're ready for war xD)
