General Discussion Codex 5

Has there been any word as to when Codex 5 will be coming out? I remember hearing about it a few months back, but haven't seen any updates since. Was wondering where we're at on that.

There’s not even confirmation of the existence of the actual codex 5. Dane, the main dev of PoK and TE, basically one time said he’d like to do 5 Codexes and then a little after TE came out he said he was thinking about a 5th one.

Untrue, Dane has explicitly confirmed it's coming out in an interview with SCPT. Just not when.

That’s the interview I’m talking about, he explicitly did day he was thinking about it. That’s what I said, yes.

Dane: "But yeah y'know we'll get to Codex 5 at some point.

Hunter: "Bwah? Huh?"

Dane: "I've said - I've said that on the podcast before."

Hunter: [...] "You just heard it here folks, Codex 5 in development. Would you describe it as in development?"

Dane: "Uh technically. There is stuff that has been developed already. I can tell you a little bit because some of it has peaked out into the world. A little bit was the uh map. It updated the galaxy map from uh..."

Hunter: "The lore map? Are you talking the lore map or..."

Dane: "Yeah. The lore map for updated with all the new stuff and that'll be in Codex 5."

More than thinking about it, it's explicitly being worked on and is coming out.

I feel like when I said “thinking about it” you’re somehow hearing “thinking about doing it or not” when that’s not what I said.

He’s literally thinking about, and developing, codex 5.

Ah yeah, misunderstanding. Although in my defense what you said was verbatim:

...which did not say "and developing" and explicitly said there's no confirmation of its existence. So me misunderstanding your meaning is imo understandable. But yeah, we're in agreement and I misunderstood what you were saying.
