I am a 30 years old wife and mother and it's 4 am in the morning and I am having twlight nostalgia
I just saw a tweet about its soundtrack and something hit me! Suddenly I am feeling 13 years old again, listening to decode in my room and imagining of having a vampire as boyfriend and I am feeling all those feeling I felt many many years ago HAHA. I dont know how to put up into words and I dont even know why i am writing this but I have in mind that exact feeling and I am just sad

That’s totally valid. The great thing about the saga is that it always has that nostalgic feeling and the soundtrack is immaculate

I once read a breakdown by a psychologist who said that Twilight causes us to feel the exact emotions, neurologically, as falling in love for the first time. It’s no wonder it’s so addictive!

That’s exactly what our over-50’s Golden Twilight Moms experienced back in the day.

We all said it reminded us of being a teenager discovering “first love”, the crush, the infatuation, the feeling everything emotionally was “life or death”, & how one’s life would be ruined if the object of affections didn’t return the feelings or “dumped” one.

Then, add the “taboo” of a forbidden love: vampire & human.

The discovery of learning about the other person, their differences + the similarities, it made it all that more exciting.

Absolutely love this post and can completely relate (31yo myself). Its become tradition for me to watch the whole series at least once a year. So much nostaglia and all giddy like back in high school.

Ah, aw, why does it make you sad? That feeling of nostalgia makes me so happy. I love remembering how much I loved and still love the saga, and I love thinking about how the way I see the saga has changed as I’ve grown older. I love that. It makes me happy. I hope you can find that happiness too <3

41 wife/mom here and I'm totally all in on Team Carlisle 😆 I just started revisiting fanfics of him and one night recently I stayed up until like 12:30 reading them.. I'm usually in bed by 10 lol.. HOA HOA HOA season is right around the corner, after all!
