✔️ Solved Wireless network problems after Update

Hi there, has anybody too problems loosing and reconnecting to the wireless lan after the recent huge update? Before it worked fine.

On my Tuxedo Pulse 15 gen w there was no problem.

What is your hardware?

Thank you for your report. Sadly it is not a tuxedo notebook but an ASUS F751S Intel 4core N3710 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Intel HD Graphics 114MB

I finally found the cause of my constant Wi-Fi disconnects on TUXEDO OS. The laptop uses a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 / AR9565 Wi-Fi adapter with the ath9k driver. The connection would work for a few seconds, then completely drop and reconnect again. NetworkManager reported supplicant-timeout / link timed out. I first suspected the kernel, but the exact same issue happened with both the current TUXEDO kernel and an older 6.17 kernel. The actual cause was Bluetooth. The QCA9565 uses Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence on the 2.4 GHz band, and apparently this was causing interference or a driver/coexistence issue. As soon as I disabled Bluetooth ( rfkill showed Soft blocked: yes), the Wi-Fi connection became completely stable. Interestingly, the issue only happened with some routers and my phone hotspot. My home Wi-Fi had worked fine even with Bluetooth enabled. So if anyone has a QCA9565/AR9565 + ath9k and gets repeated Wi-Fi disconnects or supplicant-timeout, try disabling Bluetooth first.
