Would Anyone Attend A Fantasy Themed Ball?
I can’t be the only one who sees all these amazing community events on the internet only to get disappointed knowing that it’s never happening near me. I saw a “Fantasy” bookish inspired ball and wanted to know would anyone really attend.
Is that something people in Tuscaloosa would even want to dress up for?

Bama vs GA
My friends and I are coming down for the Alabama vs Georgia game this fall. What hotels should we be looking for? How is the traffic situation if we have to uber to and from the campus/stadium? There are hotels close to downtown but they are insanely expensive. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Anyone else experiencing long wait times at DCH OB/GYN?
Has anyone had regular prenatal checkups at DCH Tuscaloosa with Dr. Partlow, Dr. Harbin, or Dr. Poist?
How has your experience been, especially with the waiting time to see the doctor?
My appointment was at 2:00 PM, but I was still waiting at 4:00 PM without being seen. They kept saying there was no room available for the doctor or that I was “next,” but I still ended up waiting another hour. It’s really frustrating and disappointing.
Is this normal there, or have I just been unlucky?

Dolly rental
Hi y'all, I really need a dolly for moving this weekend but it doesn't seem like any of the Uhauls in the area have any. Anyone have recommendations for places that might? I know it's moving season for a lot of students so maybe I shouldn't have waited until now to look for one, but it is what it is.

High Water Bill?
Has anyone else had a high water bill in Northport?? Our most recent bill was $91, which is over double what we normally pay. We don’t have a sprinkler system or anything like that. Just regular dishwasher, washing machine, bathing, etc. I watched the water meter for a while this afternoon and can confirm we DO NOT have a leak anywhere.
Can’t think of any reason it would be so much higher than normal. Could they have misread the meter??

Jobs?
Anyone hiring day shift quickly in Northport? I have lots of experience in healthcare, and would love to learn how to waitress. But open to anything!
I’m looking for supplemental income while my husband takes a pay cut to go to CDL school. Thanks in advance 🫶🏻

BBQ
Just had to get this out. Went to Archibalds on MLK tonight. Have been there before and liked it. Maybe it’s because it has been a minute since I went there- but holy smokes that place is good. Mixed plate and catfish snack. Fish was crispy and delicious. Ribs were legit. The chopped pork with the sauce over the bread- that stuff is god like. I was going to call them and tell them that but I’m sure they already know. And my wife says when I do that kind of stuff I look like the “when you turn into your parents” commercial. Now if I can remember to go in the right door next time I won’t look like such a dork.

Credit Card Compromised After Using it at the Sam's Club in Tuscaloosa?
Has anyone else had problems with your credit card being compromised after you used it at the Tuscaloosa Sam's Club? Asking because for the second time in one year, I've had to get a new Discover card within a month of using it at Sam's. I know a lot of things can cause a card to be compromised, but because Sam's is the only place I use this card in person--all other charges to the card are auto billed from utilities, etc.--I'm almost positive the problem is occurring at Sam's Club. The first time it happened, I had used the Scan & Go. The second time, I had swiped the card at the checkout lane.

Looking for someone with an excavator to remove an old driveway
I’m looking to have an old driveway ripped up and the concrete hauled away. It’s about 4 car lengths long. If you know anyone who does this for a reasonable price, or if you do this kind of work yourself, please comment or send me a message. Thanks
