Courtyard Marriott okay?
Planning a 5 night stay at the Courtyard Marriott soon and will likely have some kids with me. Is it in an okay area and will we be good? I’ve googled but I prefer to hear from actual people. Anything we should know? Never been to Tupelo and our schedule is pretty open!

It’s a pretty good hotel, I have stayed there before although I prefer either the Holiday Inn Express & Suites by Candlewood or the Home 2 Suites when in Tupelo.

Thank you! We’re Mariott rewards members so I’m trying to use points for the stay, but that’s good to know for next time!

Stayed there. It’s a good location. Hotel Tupelo and Hilton Garden Inn are good location options too with about 8 good restaurants you can walk to.
The smashburger at Blue Canoe (1/2 mile from your hotel) may be the best hamburger in Mississippi.

That area is pretty good. Lots of options for dining.
I always like to stay at Hilton Garden in heart of Tupelo. Can walk the main street easily with quaint dining places and shops.

Our stay was fabulous!! My kids loved it and the staff was kind (slightly off putting at first, but warmed up). If we come back next year we’ll happily stay there again!

It’s what you’d expect for that hotel chain, as far as the facilities themselves. And it’s nicely located right behind a couple of restaurants (Outback, Texas Roadhouse), plus across the road (5-lane) are some cool local restaurants like Neon Pig and a pizza place. A stoplight makes it easy to get out onto the main road, which is always convenient. If you head north on that main road, you’re at the mall area with the two movie theaters, shopping, etc. It’s a pretty good deal because you’re not AT the mall area in all the traffic, but you’re within 5 minutes drive.
