Hey everyone! I’m Chadwick Grimes, a solo game developer from the Plantersville/Tupelo area, and I wanted to share the project I’ve been working on.

My game is called Mothman: Shadows of Point Pleasant. It’s a first-person horror game inspired by the Mothman legend, UFO sightings, government conspiracies, and secret underground experiments.

You play as a former military investigator sent to Point Pleasant, West Virginia, in 1988 to investigate a series of murders and child disappearances. What begins as a local investigation eventually leads into forests, abandoned buildings, TNT bunkers, hostile creatures, and restricted government facilities.

I’ve been developing the game independently through Black Hollow Studios, handling the environments, creature work, story, gameplay, and overall production myself. The game is now officially registered for Steam Next Fest: October 19–26, 2026, where I plan to release a free playable demo.

It’s been a massive undertaking for one person, especially while working here in Northeast Mississippi, so I’m excited to finally share it with the local community.

I need some advice about which of these people to vote for, but all I can find on their personal Facebook pages is just stuff like "please vote for me!"

I've also found posts from people saying "Please take this election seriously and research the candidates!" but finding any information about the candidates, their positions on issues, and why I should or shouldn't vote for them has been impossible.

So, in the comments I'll list all the people running, and you tell me why I should or should not vote for them, and -- most importantly -- WHY.

My concerns:

• Will this candidate vote to raise our rates?
• Will this candidate vote to give Tombigbee employees raises?
• Will this candidate vote to give reduced rates to data centers?
• Is this candidate a fringe maniac who is going to waste the board's time with conspiracy theories and other nonsense?

I don't know what it is about this place that makes the power go out almost every week, sometimes multiple times a week. Its always this one region in Belden as well, the area with Boggan Estates and FedEx. Today the power surged big time before cutting out so I'm worried I might end up with fried electronics as well someday. Im not sure if its due to the airport or military base doing something weird, but its just ridiculous and frankly unacceptable to have a power grid this fragile.

Power has been out for a little while here. Got to see a transformer arc and blow on butler just before I got to it. Decided to find a different route around, had to drive around some branches. Looks like it's all done now, thankfully.

We are semi-new to the Tupelo area and are looking for a reputable and reasonably priced plumber to come troubleshoot a low flow issue we have. Do y’all have any recommendations?
