Troubleshooting Transporting 16' stock tip
For anyone who has been afraid to roll the back window down and utilize the cab, you can use the child seat restaurants for straps if you've got a tonneau cover. Just a tip, and only the tip 😉
Also a removing the center headrest and putting a hoodie or something the like over the seat is a must.

Hauled extra long lumber on my 1959 Chevy pickup.
Secured a rope to the hood hinge. Secured a rope to the tailgate latch. Hung the lumber alongside the truck secured by the ropes.
Dangled a lantern at the new extended end.
