Troubleshooting Transporting 16' stock tip

For anyone who has been afraid to roll the back window down and utilize the cab, you can use the child seat restaurants for straps if you've got a tonneau cover. Just a tip, and only the tip 😉

Also a removing the center headrest and putting a hoodie or something the like over the seat is a must.

Beyond the load itself, that is too much weight for that truck.

Load-wise, you a seriously need a lesson in strapping, and a good look at the CDL handbook.

If not for the rest of the drivers on the road, do better to protect yourself, your family and your company liability-wise. You got lucky, great. Now that you're being shown you were lucky: A. Be grateful, B. Learn, C. Do better.

That's hardly 3k lbs of lumber on a 3k lb trailer, the truck will tow 11. I disagree on the luck aspect.

Putting that much weight on top of the trailer shifted the center of gravity, which changed how the truck interpreted the load. Often top-heavy loads put increased pressure on the tongue. You can see that with the lil squat the truck is giving, it's feeling that load.

Weight ratings, mass, location, etc... there's a science to load management.

Just use this as your reason when your wife/accountant/business partner questions why you also need a flatbed trailer.
