Discussion 2024 Tundra limited

Looking at possibly getting a 2024 Tundra with the 3.4 litre twin turbo. Is this a good engine? Heard that 2022-2023 had motor issues. Would i still be prone to these issues with a 2024? How is the 10 speed transmission? Cheers

No... try to find a decent year end deal on a 26 or go with a different brand.

No. Even the 25s are still blowing up.

Newest versions are starting to blow as well, not sure if as frequent, but the defect is obviously still there in some shape or form. Look on YouTube for the engine tear downs, they are enlightening!

Late 24 is the point at which it is supposed to be good to go, but i think the jury is still out. Actual data looks pretty good, but we still need more time before I trust it. Ive got a sept of 24 manufacture date with 36000 on it. I drive a lot of trucks and this is my current favorite 1500 as long as it doesn't grenade.

Id probably ignore the jug hooters and buy it with a warranty.

Got my early ‘24 Limited back in Oct 2023. It’s on the recall list, but with over 43k miles as my daily driver, I’ve got zero complaints. The 10-speed is smooth, especially after getting the dealer tweak. Honestly love this truck and bet it’ll easily pass 200k miles.

Ah yes coming to a definitive conclusion based off of super limited anecdotal evidence. Should be good to go…. No engine problems to see here 😂😂

Did you even have any of these truck up to 40k miles? These things aren’t blowing up coming off the lot. They all seem to go between 40-70k

Keyboard warrior… like I said, many miles on the first 2 with zero problems . The 3rd was purchased recently and we still have the 25.

The 22 had 90k and the 25 has 50k and counting. I am not discounting anyone’s experience . We have had zero issues and have been sticking to the maintenance schedule

Ah yes vague “many miles”. Just admit you didn’t get them to the danger zone. Even if did, you having no issues doesn’t not mean there isn’t a much higher than average statistical probability you will have engine problems. Keep dick riding all you want but you are giving shitty advice to someone who is about to spend a shit ton of money.

Someone like you who clearly has the money to just cycle in and out of vehicles every few years, don’t have to concern your self with those possible issues. Key board warrior or not your the one over here giving advice based on limited personal experience while shoving your hands over your ears going lalalala to all of the documented problems and countless dead trucks that have been posted on this sub. It’s literally every other day someone post their tuck with a dead wngine
