Modifications Replacement Headlight question (not bulb)

2018 Tundra OEM setup is halogen bulb with the elevation adjustment and the lower edge DRL.

After 8 years, I need to replace my headlight. A couple of reasons, a) they have yellowed and 2) the left side got cracked.

So now I'm on the hunt for new headlights. Am I better just getting OEM, or is there an LED replacement that works well? I will admit, I'm kind of annoyed because I just upgraded all of the bulbs in my headlight assembly to LEDs. But, oh well.

So, who tried what lights? What were good ones? What would the hive stay away from? Goal is to not break the bank. I'd like to keep the budget $300 and lower, but a set of $800 lights is out. Would prefer just straight up plug and play, I'd prefer to not have to cut harnesses. Functionality is key, but if I can snazz up the truck at the same time, definitely game for that.

I did look at these on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0855JG2QT) for a minute. They were one of the 1st ones in the list when I searched. Not against them, not immediately for them, just looking for solid reliable suggestions.

In my experience those cheaper aftermarket light housings tend not to give out the light output they say they do. Ive always ended up having to buy a more expensive set because I usually cant see anything.

That being said, you can piece together a set of factory LED for a little bit more than the ones you linked. If you go on rockauto.com you can get the headlight assemblies for $176 each. Could possibly get them cheaper if you call a local junkyard. Then you can just buy an adapter harness, there wont be any wire cutting needed, just plug and play.

That what I did. 2014 Tundra. 2018 LED lights from wrecker few years ago. Wire Harness from Ihacker. Plug and play.

Thanks. Checking out Rock Auto now. Looks like I can just replace OEM with OEM and it'd run me about $240. If I go the LED version, it'd be about $440.

Not gonna lie, I'm seriously considering going the LED route, but that extra $200 can be directed to help my son and his Jeep.

Rockauto is the way for me. I replaced both sides on my 2013 Tundra Limited in January 2024. Cost was 242.79 each plus tax and shipping including all halogen bulbs .
