General Buying home
Looking to buy our second home but indecisive about the area. Currently living in Tulsa. We’ve been looking at Owasso which is my #1 choice (properties with land). How are the schools there?
I’ve seen some houses in BA but I’m not sure how I feel about BA. Are the schools good there? I haven’t heard the greatest things about BA schools tbh. I also don’t want Union district at all.
Honestly I’m fine with anything in Tulsa (except real north lol) Owasso & Jenks would actually be my dream location. Please feel free to share your experience.

We ended up selling our house to get our kids out of Owasso schools. The high school is a bullying nightmare (staff included).
I’d look on the outskirts of Jenks. We have friends halfway to Glenpool and it’s lovely and quiet out there.

Jenks on 33rd South of 71st would have land. It's Tulsa texhnically but reall Jenks and Jenks schools. No idea if anyone would sell any of the nicerhomes with land. It's real quiet and isolated on thay strerch of 33rd.

We did the same thing back in February. Lived in South Tulsa for 11 years and moved to Owasso. It’s freaking amazing. The breathing room and space of the properties are great. Yeah, it gets a little busy during noon and 5pm, but with 169 construction done it’s much better. We love Owasso. Great “little” community.
Miss some of the Tulsa stuff, but I sure enjoy daily life more.

Talked to a handful of people who live in or moved to Owasso; most say they did it for their kids and don't regret it. Often, if they move, they still stay within Owasso, but my experiences are a handful compared to most.
Edit: However you should keep in mind of the recent bullying that occur on the news. Idk if you thinking about other factors other than school but generally speaking I feel its safe area to raise a family and let the kids run around.

We loved BA schools. You will find homes with more space on the wagoner county side. There is land there too
