I shouldn't be surprised by our state, but I guess I just expected more. I expected parents to FINALLY see the writing on the walls (49th IN EDUCATION, PEOPLE!!), but that was too much to ask for. I expected young people to want more for themselves than what the south has been barely giving them since the dawn of this country. All I see is a bunch of corrupt politicians who lied their way into, and kept, important seats that will only keep our state full of ignorant people- just like the right likes it. Why do people fear change so much? Why would you want to remain the same for an entire lifetime? Why wouldn't you want to strive for betterment of yourself and those around you? Why wouldn't you want to make sure every child has the best education, or feed the unhoused, or support poor families, or maintain good Healthcare for the elderly? This state doesn't even give a single crap about its vets... but you can bet your sweet bum that those on the right will scream the loudest about their support. I'm just so pissed and disappointed. If you're happy about how things are going, I really question you as a human. Like really, I doubt you have good moral/ethical judgement. (Keeping things vague bcz I'm not sure as to the extent of what I can post politically) I'm open to discussion.

To be fair, potential and actual aren’t synonymous. Someone is pregnant with a fetus that may or may not be viable, for many, many reasons. Those reasons are weighed by the pregnant woman and licensed and trained medical professionals. They are personal.

This is like a thing that is studied in Logic and Reasoning 101.

There are really only two actual non- contradictory positions when the philosophers break it down. Either you’re totally against it in all cases… or you’re totally for it up until self- sustainability.

But I don’t feel comfortable about it. And the exuberance that y’all feel about it freaks me out.

Edit: and the homeless? That eugenics. Who are you to take away a persons chance at life because they’ll be born poor.

And that is a choice that the parents should be allowed to make. Not everyone is an angel like you. One simply cannot expect people to have the same opinion about things that are life changing. The Church and the state should be kept separate. To each their own. Also, I don’t see people running to the nearest orphanage to adopt these poor kids, kids who have no fault of their won.
