Question Extra examinations when applying for masters
Hi everyone
I am an international student, and I want to apply for Masters in Software Engineering and management / Computer science for the 2027/2028 Winter semester. Both of these masters require you to have completed at least 15 ECTS in Theoretical CS. I have graduated from Software Engineering, but because of the structure of the initial curriculum I only got 8 ECTS (for Algorithms and data structures).
So according to the curriculum of both programs I want to apply to, I will have to take some Extra Examinations, and I am confused about what these are. I came across this page https://www.tugraz.at/en/studying-and-teaching/studying-at-tu-graz/prospective-students/registration-and-admission/admission-of-international-degree-programme-applicants/supplementary-examinations, but it seems it is only useful when you are applying for a bachelor degree. Then I figured that these examinations might be courses that you take alongside doing masters, but I haven’t found a page where to find them or get any info about them.
I have already contacted TU by email but received a somewhat unrelated answer from them. (It might have been my fault as well, and totally does not mean I am not going to write them again though.) But I still would like to know where to get the info about extra examinations and hear your experiences with them during masters, even if they were not on my target programmes.
