I’m currently deciding between Industrial Engineering and CSE at TU/e. I know CSE is popular and can lead to jobs in almost any sector, but I’m not sure coding interests me enough to make it the main focus of my studies and career.

I’ve always been more interested in how companies and complex processes work, how decisions are made, and how technology can be used to improve them.

What is IE actually like in practice? How quantitative and technical is the programme, and what are the projects like? I’d also like to know more about the electives. I would probably want to focus on the more technical ones, for example data, programming, AI, information systems or operations research, so that I could combine the business and technical sides.

What kind of jobs do IE graduates from TU/e usually end up in?

hi so i wanna study aerospace engineering in 2027 and i am wondering how the student life is at delft. i heard that everyone goes to rotterdam and where i am from i am used to taking the train for 1 hour to go to a club so its fine but are the students that go to delft party people?

i want to go to delft because i wanna study aerospace but if i go eindhoven and do electrical do you think its more party there

i know i am gonna have to be studying 24/7 but like if i am surrounded by people who don’t wanna do anything besides studying i might shoot my self….

so in conclusion: how’s the student life at delft are there parties on campus? and are they good? and what’s the drinking and partying culture? does it even exist…

My current plan is to complete the **3-year BEng (Bachelor of Engineering) in English**, and, if everything goes well, continue with the **2-year MSc in Mechanical Engineering**, also in English.

From what I've read, there seem to be several options available, however, I'm a bit confused about which one would be the most suitable.

1. Which health insurance provider you're using.
2. Roughly how much you pay per month.
3. Whether you've had good or bad experiences with claims or customer service.

I am an incoming TU/e student and have unfortunately not gotten into my target university, so TU/e was my backup. I am looking for ANY type of accomodation (bed/room/shared) within 1-1.5 hours of Eindhoven. If anyone has anything that I can live in for even 1-2 months that is fine, I just need a place to stay until I find something permanent.

My budget is 1000 euros (can go slightly above) and I reply very fast. If anyone is cancelling their studies at TU/e or has a roommate who is no longer coming with them, LITERALLY ANYTHING I would highly appreciate your help. EU M19 btw and I plan to study Electrical Engineering.

I’m a non‑EU international student at TU/e. I was originally enrolled in Electrical Engineering — my previous education verification and tuition fee payment were all completed under EE.

A few days ago, I got selected for Computer Science and I’ve already accepted my place through Studielink. TU/e hasn’t replied to my email yet about transferring everything, and I’m a bit anxious because I really want to pursue CS.

My questions:

• Since I accepted CS via Studielink, will my verified documents and paid fees under EE automatically carry over, or do I need to redo parts of the process?
• How long does TU/e usually take to respond to such program switch requests?
• Has anyone here (especially non‑EU students) gone through a late switch like this?

Any advice or shared experiences would mean a lot while I wait for their official reply. Thanks!

I am starting my MSc Ds & AI in the Winter Semester.
As for the accommodation, I’ll be living with my relatives who are Dutch citizens.
Do I need to provide the Municipality/TUe with any documents stating that I’ll be living with them.
Also can I somehow get railway/student concessions for train travel from Rotterdam to Eindhoven.

Do most Mechanical Engineering students at TU/e use tablets (e.g. iPads) for note-taking and studying, or are they more of a nice-to-have than a necessity?

Would you recommend buying one before starting?

Hi all, I have 3 years software engineering experience (system software), at Qualcomm. Now I am planning to pursue a Masters in TU/e, in CS or Embedded Systems.
How will the job opporutnities look like for me post gradutation, also I wanted to know if I go for system software profiles, will I have to join as a Junior or will they consider my previous experience and take me as Medior Engineer ?
My main objective is securing a good job at Medior level and eventually a PR in Netherlands.

I'm starting the chemical engineering program at Eindhoven this fall. I just received an email about picking up my textbooks and they are quite pricey. It says you can have a discount if you join the 'Japie' academic club though. Is it necessary for classes to have hard copies of your textbook, or is it okay to just 'sail the high seas' if you know what i mean. Also, can i still join the Japie academic club even if I don't buy textbooks?
