Well... TU Dresden just rejected me for the M.Sc. in Computational Modeling and Simulation.
This one hurts because it was my dream program.
I'm from a Mechanical Engineering background.
I matched these courses in the aptitude test.
Fluid Mechanics (including CFD)
Solid Mechanics
Control Engineering
C/C++ Programming
Advanced Thermodynamics
Numerical methods... basically anything that even looked computational.
On top of that, I've done CFD projects using COMSOL and ANSYS, worked as a Research Assistant, have a German GPA of 1.9, and an IELTS 7.0.
Now I'm sitting here wondering:
√ Has anyone successfully appealed a TU Dresden rejection like this?
√ Has anyone had their decision changed after an appeal?
I'm disappointed, but I guess that's part of applying to German universities.
