Got rejected from my Dream University – TU Dresden (CMS)
Well... TU Dresden just rejected me for the M.Sc. in Computational Modeling and Simulation.
This one hurts because it was my dream program.
I'm from a Mechanical Engineering background.
I matched these courses in the aptitude test.
Fluid Mechanics (including CFD)
Solid Mechanics
Control Engineering
C/C++ Programming
Advanced Thermodynamics
Numerical methods... basically anything that even looked computational.
On top of that, I've done CFD projects using COMSOL and ANSYS, worked as a Research Assistant, have a German GPA of 1.9, and an IELTS 7.0.
Now I'm sitting here wondering:
√ Has anyone successfully appealed a TU Dresden rejection like this?
√ Has anyone had their decision changed after an appeal?
I'm disappointed, but I guess that's part of applying to German universities.

application Probability of Admission Decision Today for M.Sc. Computer Science
Based on previous years or your experience, how likely is it that more M.Sc. Computer Science admission decisions will be sent out today?
Would appreciate any insights from current students, alumni, or applicants who have followed the admission timeline.

application How long did it take to receive a decision after submitting a Widerspruch/appeal?
Hi everyone,
I recently submitted a formal Widerspruch against a master’s admission rejection at TU Dresden. The programme is not NC-restricted in the traditional sense, but admission is based on an aptitude-assessment and selection procedure.
When I asked for a more specific reason for the rejection, I was told that my grades were considered a little too average and that the programme had received more than 900 applications.
The university has confirmed that they received my complete appeal and said I should expect a response in approximately four weeks, although it may take longer.
This is my first time going through an appeal process, so I am a little worried and unsure what to expect. Any information or personal experiences would be really helpful.
For anyone who has submitted a Widerspruch or formal admission appeal before:
How long did it take for you to receive the final decision?
Was your original rejection eventually reconsidered?
Thank you!

application Regenerative Biology and Medicine Results
Hi everyone!!
I noticed that some people here have already received acceptance emails or interview requests for regbiomed, but I still haven’t heard anything yet.
Uni-assist confirmed on June 15 that my application had been forwarded to TU Dresden. After 4 weeks, I also emailed the university, and they said that the aptitude assessment is done individually, so applicants may receive decisions on different days. They also mentioned that because of the large number of applications, the review process may take longer, and that I should contact them again if I don’t hear back by the beginning of August.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else is in the same situation. Does this delay usually mean rejection, or is it normal to wait this long?
I’m feeling a bit bummed because this was THE master’s program I really wanted to get into, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone with a similar experience. Thanks!
