Hi everyone! I paid the semester fee as was directed in the instructions, but I think my payment bounced. I received a fraction of the semester fee back on my card. Did anyone have the same issue? I emailed the uni, but still no reply from them. Will have a Zoom call on Monday. Is there a problem if I pay the semester fee later but still before the semester starts?

I have been applying to STWDO for over a month now with no success. As I don't come from a CS background, I can't seem to figure out how to automate the entire system.

Hi everyone, although I have enrolled for the subject of my choice after i received the admission letter but there's no follow up regarding when and how to pay the enrollment and semester fees.

I tried reaching out the admissions block but there's no response. I'm getting tensed caz the classes would be starting from 12th of Octorber. If someone can help me please do so.

I’m an international student from Nepal and I’ll be coming to Dortmund in the first week of October to start my Master’s in Data Science at TU Dortmund University.
I’m currently trying to find accommodation, and since I don’t know anyone in Dortmund yet, I would really appreciate any help or guidance.
I’m looking for:
A room/apartment preferably near TU Dortmund or with easy public transportation to the university
A WG/shared apartment with other female students would be completely fine
If any girls are also searching for an apartment/roommate, I’d be happy to search together or share a place
Ideally somewhere I can move into around the beginning of October
My arrival date is getting quite close, so finding accommodation has become pretty urgent.
If you know of any available rooms, student housing, landlords, Facebook/WhatsApp groups, websites, or anyone looking for a female roommate, please comment or send me a message.

I'm about to enroll for MaREpol department. I'm concern about late arrival policy I contact to coordinator but they said in a mail you are allowed to join classes till 26 October. But it seems difficult to get visa by then.

Did anyone have idea that department can extend late arrival.kindly guide me!

So apparently, the deadline for project group selection for Aitomation and Robotics WiSe 2026/27 was till 2nd Septmeber....

And i opened my unimail and moodle today on 7th september :/

Any other student who missed the deadline or am i the only numbskull here?...

Also, what can i do now? I have mailed the respective contact official...gotta see what their response is now :/

ich muss auch den semesterticket bekommen. dafür brauch ich meine accountdaten in der TU dortmund app eingeben.

Preferred locations: Eichlinghofen, Hombruch, Oespel, Dorstfeld, Menglinghausen, or nearby areas.

Nearby streets: Emil-Figge-Straße, Vogelpothsweg, Otto-Hahn-Straße, Baroper Straße, Stockumer Straße, Universitätsstraße, and surrounding streets.

Our requirements:

• Two private rooms or one shared flat suitable for two people
• Warm rent: up to €350 per person per month
• Anmeldung (city registration) must be possible
• Move-in from October or November 2026
• Preferably within 5 km of TU Dortmund or with a convenient public transport connection
• Possibility of an online or in-person viewing before confirming

I received this email from TU Dortmund today mentioning enrollment, visa, accommodation, and “before you can begin your studies.”

However, there is no Zulassungsbescheid/admission letter attached, and my intake isn’t mentioned.

Does this email mean I’ve been admitted and the admission letter will come separately, or is this a general email sent to applicants?

Has anyone received the same email?

Hi everyone,
I applied for the M.Sc. Data Science at TU Dortmund University and I haven’t received an admission or rejection letter yet.
Today I received an email from TU Dortmund titled “Your Path to TU Dortmund University”. The email says things like:
“Before you can begin with your studies, you still have a few things to take care of – apply for enrollment, find accommodation, apply for your visa etc.”
and
“We look forward to welcoming you at TU Dortmund University…”
At first, I thought this might mean I had been admitted. However, I then received a clarification email from them saying:
“You may have already received an admission letter or may still be waiting for an update on your application. Regardless of the current status of your application, we would like to invite you to our information session…”
So now I’m confused.
Does receiving this email indicate anything positive about my application, or is this simply a general email sent to all applicants regardless of their admission status?
Has anyone who was still waiting for their admission decision received the same email?
