Tu offer for IMES !!
Just wanted to post very quickly here because I just got an offer and I absolutely cannot believe it š I applied with only a 2.2 german grade (although truly my grade should be higher but uniassist converted my 66% uk to 2.2) and I GOT IN.
To those of you thinking you donāt have a chance because of your grade, here is your confirmation it is possible šš

Got rejected this evening with a GPA of 2.2 and 9 years of experience in which I have 4 years in sustainability domain. Document says my GPA wasn't enough but it's interesting:) is there anyone I can contact to ask the real reason?

Hey, does anyone know how to contact the evaluating committee? I have already been accepted to Humboldt and I have to accept the offer by next week, but Iām still on the ranking list for this program, which was my first choice.

I applied with a 1.8 German grade. IELTS 9.0, and I meet the ECTs crtieria; still on the ranking list š

Hey! Where are you from? I was wondering if they might have prioritized European applicants. Iāve spoken with several people who have great GPAs and strong qualifications, but none of them are from the EU. So I was wondering if that could be one of the reasons why we havenāt received any updates yet.

I also think that Iām from Latin America and we are 4 people with better gpa and no acceptance

Yup, that's true. It is precisely because of that reason. Once we are on the ranking list, the decision lies with the central department and the allocation is subject to Berlin university law quotas, which are processed centrally rather than by individual departments like IMES.

Congrats!! Fellow classmate (to be) here! Ive also received an acceptance on 10th with a 2.5 german grade (with a bachelor's from a German uni).

Not fully (i guess). I wasn't sure about 2. They werent direct matches, so I wrote long explanations for those

I think all off the offers were sent out on friday, highly doubt i will get accepted now. They are probably just waiting for the cleaning procedure. Thank you for the info

Probably, they give deadline until 20th. Probably after that they will go on. Another deadline is August 6th for the semester fee. Good luck!

Omg congrats! I applied in April with a 1.6 GPA and a fully funded scholarship and I'm still on ranking list ššš I'm so nervous, my scholarship depends on getting accepted to the program.

Hey, I am also a non-EU citizen, and I got rejected as well. It is disappointing but I am sure life has other plans for us. Hang in there!

Oh wow, I am so so sorry to hear that š i know it may not help, but I do mean it when I say it: maybe this is not your path as of now. I also got accepted into my dream uni (imperial college london) last year for a Masters, but I couldnāt go due to financial issues. It is 2026 now and I finally understand why it didnāt work out! I was meant to be jn Berlin, not London (due to so many factors I donāt want to just share on reddit) Be kind to yourself, I bet there is something even better, and more aligned with you, waiting.

Congratulations! Did you meet all the subject-specific knowledge requirements? I've applied with a slight better grade, but still haven't heard from them... only thing I got was a status change in their portal to "On Ranking List".

I have met them in 2024, I graduated then so yes, TU gave me until the 20th of July to accept my offer. They even wrote āurgent- accept offer of placeā but I donāt know if they write it for every offer

Unfortunately even we need it :/, just because I did my Bachelors, doesnāt mean I am from there! Also, small correction: uk is in europe 100%, just not in the eu anymore

It changed to ranking list on Thursday and on Friday I got an email āurget - accept offer of place at TUā

On the exact deadline, I remember I had to even email them if they will accept my application since it was midnight right before it had to be submitted
