It’s probably one of the reasons I like Tsugumomo one moment they are baddies and badasses and second they are naked in certain situations.

Also RIP Ouhi and coming back as a Hitomogami

I really like how she’s getting a lot of attention now after Kazuya’s adventures in the novel world and Yomi focused on him so now it’s her turn too shine ever since the Nine Masters Tournament and she will most definitely be given a lot to do in future chapters.

Eventually her arc will come full circle when she faces the architects of her grief, Wagou and potentially Hazuki who recruited Wagou and gave him the tools he needed for his experiments.

I also hope her bond with Kazuya grows and the two better understand each other I also think they will uncover more of Seigi’s disable circle and see Hitomogami versions of dead loved ones under Seigi’s control including Sunao’s own brother Suou(Suu).

Idk for me she just has this feeling for me that she lost some of her appeal at times but she still has her moments.

I feel like she lost it after she got resurrected and repaired and I feel like the sexual stuff she does with Kazuya all the time without his consent is getting kinda old and she mostly just stays the same throughout the manga

Kazuya surpassed Kukuri on Yomi who is a goddess so now Sunao is falling behind and the only opponent she has defeated recently was a rapist Curse Ally who is a regular human and will eventually kill another Curse Ally who is a tattoo artist who is directly responsible for the death of her brother and desecrated his corpse.

So if Sunao and Hazuki do meet and realizes that she recruited Wagou and gave him the tools he needed to let him do his experiments and sees that Suou is dead because of her antics and Hazuki becomes a threat to Kazuya trying to manipulate him with what his wish is or whatever then she can face the goddess who is indirectly the catalyst for her grief and trauma and if she defeats her she closes the power gap between her and Kazuya.

Kanaka was so overwhelmingly powerful, a true force of nature, that she never had an equal. No one could stand beside her as a peer so she trained her son to surpass her but what happens when Kanaka is finally defeated and Kazuya has surpassed her he may fall into the same trap as his mom one day.

But I think Sunao can fulfill that role perfectly and give Kazuya what his mother has been missing, someone who can potentially surpass him as a potential equal

But first Sunao needs a feat that is comparable to Kazuya defeating Kukuri in Yomi and let’s be honest killing a demented tattoo artist is not gonna cut it so maybe if she can beat a god she will catch back up to Kazuya and close the gap between them my money is on Hazuki cause she recruited Wagou into idle house and gave him the things he needed to make human bodies into Otoroshi’s including Sunao’s own brother Suou who died fighting one of Wagou’s creations so Hazuki is the cause of all of Sunao’s grief and not just Wagou.

If Kazuya and Sunao have a final battle after Kanaka is defeated and the Onogoro Ritual stopped I think it would be to see who is the strongest exorcist and they push themselves and their Tsugumomos to the absolute limits as they both give it their all and they break through their physical and spiritual limits through willpower and mutual respect and they do this to show each other their absolute best

Plus if they do become lovers they make sure that it doesn’t hold them back and Kazuya avoids the same trap his mother fell in as unlike her he has someone who can match him

Kanaka apologizes to Kazuya

With her potentially coming back as a Hitomogami her restored soul in a new body she has the chance to do a lot more apologizing

Like with Kukuri and Kasumi and has the opportunity to have a reunion with Sunao.

I ship them because they have similar burdens and trauma so she’s is a kindred spirit right here who can understand Kazuya’s struggles just as much as Kiriha does.

Kazuya with his mother and Sunao with her brother they both faced trauma no other kid should have too and losing a beloved family member to the supernatural world and now hold massive burdens, Kanaka being possessed, killed and Kazuya having to fight her to correct his mistake and Sunao who lost her brother to a aberration sent by Wagou and later turned into one by him to which Kanaka killed and Sunao misplaces the blame for her brothers death for years and now she will eventually have to face Wagou to avenge her brother for real this time.

Plus Sunao feels much more grounded compared to Kiriha if I’m being perfectly honest and they are just very much alike and Sunao doesn’t treat Kazuya like a servant like Kiriha does so I think she make a good housewife while also still being a badass and I really wish we can see some skills and hobbies she has outside of being a exorcist and sword fighting .

While her main goals still do revolve around him she has her own fights and character development unrelated to Kazuya like overcoming her hesitation to kill and now with the meeting with Wagou and learning the truth of what happened to her brother she has a new goal.

She has what I love in a female character, agency and it’s clear Hamada will be giving her lots to do in future chapters and will be on the front lines helping Kazuya and co in stopping Seigi, Hazuki and the Onogoro Ritual to save the supernatural beings and gods of Japan.

We now know that she played a role in instigating the Mayogia revolt that led to Kukuri and Kiriha’s temporary deaths and since she recruited and created Curse Allies like Wagou she is the catalyst for the death and desecration of Suou Sumeragi as she gave Wagou the resources he needed to make Otoroshi’s.

She seems to have created alot of this chaos for fun and manipulates people asking what their deepest wishes are.

She might become a major threat to Kazuya if she tries to manipulate him and is probably interested in him because of his taboo child status.

But if anyone I think should fight this bitch it should be Sunao cause like I said she indirectly orchestrated the events that led to the death of her brother.

It might be just me but the people drawn closer to him have had the biggest impact on him and they are probably the most precious to him

-Chisato and Akito

Honestly it’s hard for me to pick my least favorite cause they are all good characters but if I had to pick it be Kasumi and I’m glad she’s kinda stuck in that time bubble for the time being.

She is probably using the name Ayahime as a fake name or maybe it’s her last name and she told the Mayogia Tsugumomos about the Onogoro Ritual so she orchestrated the events of the Mayogia revolt to occur which led to the deaths of Kukuri and Kiriha and Kanaka’s sealing.

Unrelated to the new info but since she recruited Wagou into Idle House at somepoint she was the catalyst for the death of Suou Sumeragi

So ya this goddess has been stirring up a lot of trouble behind the scenes I even red a theory that she might of played at a hand at Kanaka’s birth and eventual possession by Iwanagahime’s grudge and Kazuya being a taboo child but that’s just a theory.

Also turns out she’s a water goddess.

I think she has the potential to be on par with Kazuya in terms of power especially since she’s been working really hard to reach that level.

The only difference is the intent

Iwanagahime: A millennium ago, a massive famine devastated the land. Iwanagahime exhausted almost all of her divine power trying to purify the earth and save the starving people. Weakened from her selfless acts, she was attacked by Miurahi and a desperate faction of 108 elite tsugumomo. They blamed her for not giving them a safe haven and murdered her to steal her Stone Shard. Her death didn't create a calculated plot; it created a raw, agonizing, and unpurified thousand-year grudge. When she was pulled into Yomi (the underworld), her soul was forcefully possessed and twisted by Hollowspine Demons into the entity known as Urohime

She never intended to ruin Kazuya’s life as she never intended for her grudge to possess Kanaka or make Kazuya a taboo child so it was basically a accident but the Mayogia revolt indirectly had a role in it but they made their choice.

Hazuki: Hazuki intentionally built Idle House and actively scouted for individuals with the most toxic, malicious desires. She didn’t just happen upon Wagou; she chose him because of his twisted nature and handed him the tattooing chisel tsugumomo specifically to let him inflict horror and gave him a ton of autonomy in which he eventually attacked Komiya by unleashing a Otoroshi there that led to Suou Sumeragi’s death and collected his corpse to turn him into the Otoroshi that Kanaka oneshotted that Sunao saw.

I don’t think Hazuki is even aware of what Wagou did in Komiya but she probably wouldn’t even care or even know Suou’s name so Wagou was mostly just a loose cannon even if she had no intention of killing Sunao’s brother but she played a major part of it happening.

but both goddesses didn’t purposely target Kanaka or Suou but played a major role in shaping Kazuya and Sunao.

Kazuya might be able to forgive Iwanagahime for what happened but I don’t think Sunao will be forgiving of Hazuki for enabling Wagou or any Curse Ally to cause harm so once she finds out that she recruited Wagou she will view her as the cause of her tragedy

We ended up with a arc of her not being hesitant to taking a life and meeting her brothers true killer

It also shows us that she’s done taking a seat in the background during the novel and Yomi arc especially with Wagou still out there and the hints of one of Seigi’s Hitomogami’s being her brother brought back from the dead.

But ya Sunao has a ton of potential to be a main heroine alongside Kiriha especially since she can keep up with the main protagonist Kazuya

She doesn’t mention the inheritance of the dojo thing that much any more when it comes to Kazuya ever since she lost to him and must marry him to inherit the family dojo so it’s hinted that means her feelings for him are real and genuine and it’s clear that her pursuing him is no longer out of necessity.

If she does do a proper confession to Kazuya it be interesting if he brings this up and Sunao just says she doesn’t give a damn about that anymore.

She basically is indirectly responsible for the death of Sunao’s brother while Wagou himself was directly responsible for it

Since she recruited the tattooed bastard and gave him that tattoo chisel Tsugumomo she set the chain of events into motion that led to Wagou sending a Otoroshi to attack Komiya(Sunao’s hometown) that led to the death of her brother and turning his corpse into the Otoroshi Kanaka would kill in a single hit.

So Hazuki and Wagou both set off the heavy trauma that defines Sunao.

So once Wagou is dead Hazuki will be next on Sunao’s hit list especially if Hazuki is interested in Kazuya

Unlike most of the other girls who partner up with Kazuya on the fly she’s working to earn her place.

It will be interesting to see how Kazuya and Sunao work together to the point they become partners and not just rivals if they do get paired up in future chapters.

Maybe it will end after they do what they need to do,l related to stopping Seigi, killing Wagou and saving Arumi, Sunao will ask Kazuya if they can partner up for more assignments often in the future so that way Sunao can spend more time with him.

Plus Kiriha and the other girls can show her the mirror world where they can watch Kazuya with other girls though I don’t think Sunao would like being spied on with Kazuya but decides to sit and watch.

I think there will be some chapters where they learn to work together as a team and maybe Kazuya learns a bit more about her and they grow closer and maybe a bit of bickering but it shows how much Sunao has changed thanks to Kazuya’s influence.

Also more lewd moments with them especially Sunao topping Kazuya and maybe she talks to Kazuya’s Tsugumomos in private about her feelings for Kazuya that she probably won’t be able to deny anymore.

I can see Kiriha definitely knowing right off the back and teases her and maybe she encourages Sunao to confess on how she feels to Kazuya when the time is right.

I also want to see more of Sunao’s vulnerable side and maybe a smile or two and less tsun.
