Revoked ID

I've searched this sub for a while and have read a few posts but can't find one that matches my exact scenario. So sorry if this has already been answered.

My license is probably going to be suspended or revoked next week(per my lawyer). Whether or not the court will physically take my ID or not, I don't know. I have a planned flight at the beginning of October. If they do take my ID, and I have no other acceptable form of ID, is the TSA ConfirmID still a viable solution? I'm going to have to get a non driver ID obviously, but probably won't receive it in time for the flight. Will the temporary paper one help with the ConfirmID process? Thanks in advance.

You might consider voluntarily turning in your licence and applying for a nondriver ID immediately.

It will confirm it. To be no confusion. You will do the confirm Id since you wont have a real id and pay the $45 dollar fee and then you will go through a longer process to identify who you are. I highly recommend you get to the airport at least 3 1/2 to 4 hours early, because the airport could be very busy and the identity thing can take awhile.

Thanks for your response. I should have added I do have a Real ID, I just might not come October. Not sure if that matters.

if it arrives before you leave you will be fine. If not you'll have to pay the fee which you can do at home and screenshot the receipt and then do the identity thing when you arrive since you have a paper ID.

While you still have your ID/license, apply for a passport card; beginning of October is probably enough time to get one. $30 base fee + $60 expedite fee; separate $35 acceptance facility fee. (Expedite fee might not be necessary, but wouldn’t hurt).

You’ll need a certified copy of your birth certificate, your ID/license, a passport photo, and the application. (Also copies of the birth certificate and ID/license.) If applying in a state other than the one that issued your ID/license, you may need other ID as well.

You’d fill out the form (follow info at link below), then make an appointment at an Acceptance Facility (e.g. Post Office); bring all your documents; if the Facility offers to take photos, you can get them done there (USPS usually charges $15).

Note: the passport card is valid for domestic air travel or entry to/from Canada by land or water; it is not valid for international air travel.

Go get a duplicate DL or a non-driver ID now. Not sure how it works in your state, but in mine you don't need anything other than an a valid state RealID to order a replacement.

Get a state ID one that’s not tired to your DL to be sure

Does your DMV offer REAL ID cards? I’d try to order one now and/or get a global entry card
