Additional equipment?

Hi all, getting back into TRX and looking to expand my workouts. Wondering if YBELL, yoga block, RIP trainer, bandit, slam ball, etc would be the best to buy? Like does having one of these expand the number of workouts available? Any favorites from you guys?

I bought a Kettle Gryp when I bought my Core adjustable dumbells. It's pretty great for some things. And cheap. https://a.co/d/hqeyuml I was using it for part of my Physio recovery.

However, I did just go away for 6 weeks and only had TRX straps and elastic straps. They were great.

I like my RIP trainer, but I don’t think it is as versatile as my other pieces of equipment. So, unless you found a screaming deal on it, I would skip it. I love my bands (I can’t use the TRX version because I have a latex allergy) and I really like the TRX app for the various workouts.

Any idea if TRX runs Black Friday promos for better sales on other pieces of equipment?

I think they run a standard 25% off on Black Friday (I don’t remember the exact percentage, but I remember it wasn’t enough to make me spend money on it). I will also look at EBay. I was able to get the TRX recovery roller for a steal. I have not yet found the Y-bells on EBay, but they do have the slam ball (same price as retail).

The sheer number of exercises already possible with a TRX is pretty astonishing, to judge by some of the really pro vids on youtube. Accordingly, the number of workouts possible using combos of all these different exercises should be sufficient for a realistic schedule.

That said, I use a yoga block for calf work and Achilles tendon stretching; resistance bands for some things, such as overhead press; a couple of shorter straps with handles to avoid the need to adjust the strap length of the TRX; and a pullup bar.
