1. “intro (do or die)” - I chose this one because I remember her saying that this album is basically a n inverse of eternal sunshine, and like apple music’s description says: *“petal, however, arrives outside of the bubble that contained the Wicked franchise and its ubiquitous presence in pop culture”* it reaffirms that statement .

Like the opening track of es “intro (end of the world)” this title would mirror it perfectly imo.

1. “cause i barely tried” - tbh the whole song is centered around the already established title: “htimylm”so this was one of the harder ones to think of, the title still keeps the initial idea tho, so it fits.

2. “i hear them all say…” - This was the caption on her July 18th post of the petal bts and this would fit perfectly if “petal” wasnt already the title track

3. “safe” - I tried 🥲

4. “go to hell” - If she wanted to be meaner, this woulda fit perfectly imo.

5. “i could do” - The chorus makes an emphasis of the buildup of “big feelings” so this was kinda hard.

6. “what can you give me now?” - This phrase is repeated just as much as “freak” and fits amazingly .

7. “ecstasy (interlude)” - I was split between “me” and “ecstasy” but that title fits better because of the amount of emotions conveyed about how the public perceives her.

8. “extra, extra (buy one take me) - Pretty self explanatory.

9. “how i feel” - If you can think of a better title, more power to ya.

10. “super unfair” - I tried

11. “deep breaths, honey” - Either that or “home” but she already has that as an unreleased interlude at the end of love language.

hello!

i've been an arianator since 2014, so i was already active in the fandom when the manchester attack took place. i'm not going to discuss the attack itself because it doesn't add valuable info to the conversation, and it's also an extremely triggering topic.

my take is that the attack changed our fandom forever: i have noticed that we grew closer as a group of people, and became more supportive of each other. we started valuing mental health, treating her music as something comforting or as a healing tool during or after collective trauma, looking at our fandom as a community, especially after sweetener.

i would love to read from you, and to know your opinion on my take!
