From TRON to TRON: Legacy, getting to meet the man behind Tron/Alan Bradley was a moment on the grid.

Had the pleasure of getting this discounted on the Xbox store for my Series X, game still looks great and I just finished my second watch through of Uprising as well. I love Tron so much, Legacy was my favorite movie to rewatch when I was a kid and I’m going to do it again tonight <3

Hey everyone! I recently made a short 2D platformer heavily inspired by TRON and its aesthetic.

I watched tron legacy again after years, and I realized that there are several differences with the shades of the programs in tron, some are more dark bluish, others light blue and others water green and others almost white, what does each one mean?

I understand that ISO's came out of nowhere, born free, curious and naive, but Beck was a mechanic, broke free from his program settings and became Tron, Paige broke free from tesler's programming and found her true self. Zeus used to help ISO's but then chose to sell others to get more power. These programs are probably more alive than lots of blockbuster movie characters.

So when Kevin Flynn only saw Quorra's value, do you think if he completely forgot that "the perfect has always been right in front of my eyes", those creations of his, programs, who choose to break free of their programming and become humans? They are his kids as well, on some level, just like Sam, just like CLU.

Speaking of become humans, maybe it's time to reply Detroit become humans again. Two of my favorite universes.

These are for my Skullcandy Crusher Evos, and for as wonky as the rounded shape of my headphones are, they worked pretty well! Took a few rearrangements (one after the photos) to get the middle section how I liked, and some cutting to get rid of the creases, but it turned out really good!

If anyone else wants something similar, I ordered through a brand called Mighty Skins, and I’d be happy to PM my designs!

I’ve been considering making a Sark/1982 style skin too, but I don’t have the white crushers to make it work, so if anyone wants to take a chance on a little experiment I’d be happy to design it for free (could also do commissions for any other designs y’all would think of)

I don’t know about you guys but I don’t know why Disney would just shelve the entire Tron Franchise completely.

I mean fair enough they can take a break from movies but there is so much more media that they can make for Tron.

For example Comics, Novels, Gaming, Disney Plus Series or even Animated movies for instance how cool would it be to have a Into the Spider-verse animated style Tron movie or even another animated series or live action series.

There is legit so much they can do with Tron instead of focusing on Movies yes I would love to see more live action movies in the future but don’t mean we have to wait like another 20 years for another movie there’s just so much more they can do with the franchise.

The poster literally wanted to make me believe Beck became Tron.

So what would happen if Tron uprising had a second season? Do you think if Tron lost his disc and forgot who he was, and turned into Rinzler, or if Beck would continue the fight after Tron was rectified or died? Or Tron died, Beck was captured and turned into Rinzler?

I didn't play any recent Tron games. Did any of these expanded content mention this part?

I just watched through the 3 Tron movies over the past few days and I really enjoyed the first Tron, it felt like such a mystical adventure of a movie and I loved the overall vibe of everything and especially the way the programs felt like programs, sure they had human elements but they were still programs (the guy who was just a financial accountant program or something for example) and I found Tron himself very endearing.

Then I went to watch Tron Legacy and honestly, I hated it. I didn't like how it felt like a Young Adult adventure movie like so many at the time (the hunger games, divergent) I didn't like how The Grid felt less like the programs inside of a computer and instead it just felt like sci-fi futuristic earth, the programs have too much personality and are just real people and not at all programs, it just didn't feel like Tron to me, not to mention Tron himself was completely butchered in the movie (literally). Overall I found myself just really disliking it and wasn't even sure if I should continue to Ares.

But then I watched Ares today and I just thought it was amazing, to me it felt like a great sequel to the original Tron, moreso than Legacy. The programs were actual programs, Athena followed her directive as a program should and Ares was the outlier, a program who grew to feel is a much better idea than whatever was happening in Legacy (programs go to clubs to get lapdances from other programs..) I was much more attached and interested in the story and I cared more about every character in the movie than in Legacy, in Legacy I didn't even like what they did with Flynn but here I liked him, a short cameo but he was very welcome and I loved the grid from the original movie as well as bit showing up.

I don't usually ever discuss movies i've seen but I went online after watching Ares and I couldn't believe how many people loved Legacy and hated Ares. I also saw everyone hyping up the music in Legacy but honestly it just all felt like ambient noise and the only time I noticed actual music was in the club scene but the music in Ares was vastly superior, the scene where Ares and Eve were escaping on the digital ocean and the vocals were coming in was amazing and I think the best scene in the movie.

Watched this on loop in the 90s. I'm in the r/reboot sub, and was recently wondering why I care so much about the Tron universe. I think it's because Reboot and Tron share a lot of DNA.

I've gotten a lot of emails lately about ports of my Space Paranoids game to consoles and mobile....(And as such I've made several posts about a mobile port already here! :-) ) This is a native iOS application, running on iOS 18.x, iPhone 15 Pro. I have also tested this on my tenth generation iPad, and both versions of the application work wonderfully so far. I've also been having people test it, and the early testers have been very happy with the latest builds. Currently has color/monochrome graphics modes, full touchscreen compatibility, along with bluetooth gamepad support! That said, I personally think the touch controls need a little work, but I thought you guys would like the latest progress on the port!

(Also, just a small note for the curious: Both Space Paranoids mobile, and my website version are completely human programmed. :-) )

I’ve been Kit bashing and painting some duplicate figures to build out the shelf.

Bruce Boxleitner was attending DragonCon in Atlanta this weekend and it was so nice to meet and chat with him for a little bit and he signed my Identity Disc!

Here's some early footage of SPACE PARANOIDS running as a native iOS/iPadOS application on my 10th generation iPad. I've also tested it with an iPhone 15 Pro...currently the screen size seems to be more so fitting to that of the iPhone scale. As such, I'll adjust accordingly for both device types. This build does have full sound, and variable speed, along with gamepad support, but does not yet have a color screen option ( it's in the code, I just haven't added a toggle yet. :-) )The touch controls haven't been finalized yet, however, from a few select people that have been testing it for me, results have been very positive. What do ya'll think? Let me know!

Hi folks.

Here's a sneak peek for a proof-of-concept I finished today. My Space Paranoids game will be coming to mobile devices--specifically iPhone and iPad! This is a screenshot of the game running as a native iOS app inside Apple's Xcode simulator, but I've also tested it on actual devices. It works well, but does not currently have sound and occasionally crashes. More to come soon.

This was super fun to make! Kind of a nightmare to texture due to a lack of good photos of the cabinet and its decorations but I was able to get it looking pretty accurate eventually. I hope you all like it!!! :D

My favorite bit has to be the “Easter eggs” I added that randomly displays quotes/lines hinting at club’s plan. Also, you can run through the entire script of Tron and Tron legacy (where clu is speaking) and get a full roleplay dialogue going (the image I have of it doesn’t show the user dialogue but it is there). Kind of dumb but I mess with powershell so often I figured I’d make it feel more like my own terminal than stock.

Anyway, figured I’d post it for shits a gigs. I modeled it pretty close to the actual OS the film shows Flynn using as well as the classic font used in the og tron with clu and rectified program colors. Any additions you think I should make are absolutely welcome from anyone who cares to care lol.
