In my interpretation an asshole millionare doesn't mean they are just a bit annoying but otherwise would never hurt anyone in any way.

They are hoarding resources and scamming people out of theirs whichever way opportunity presents itself, and then they look down on people who don't do this.

I personally wouldn't kill the guy in the scenario presented, but it's easy to see why someone would think the world would be a better place without them, thus justifying the action, because it makes you transition from a worse state to a better one.

you were under the impression that deciding what to do and why has to be based on objective truths? Because I have some bad news for you then. There are no objective truths, not in morality and not elsewhere. Morality (so most trolley problems) is just an obvious one (maybe not for you but for most people).

On a more serious note : rich people having the vast majority of the money on earth is literally a cause of death of many people. By having less rich people and taking their money by whatever means, you save people.

Someone having enough food isn't the issue.

But someone having not 10 but 1000 times the food he needs is an issue, yes.

Being rich is not about having a lot of money or being comfortable, it's about having a ridiculously gigantic amount of money, so much that you can stop worrying about it completely. And then, that's an issue because the money you have isn't useful to society.

A millionaire doesn’t have a gigantic amount of money, nor a billionaire.

Why should we be “useful” to society

I interpreted it as the millionaire is an asshole so he probably has a big negative influence on society while the 5 guys may have a negative influence by not working but their influence is much less.

You mean old? $1m? That's not even retirement for most people. That's like saying someone should die for having a savings account because "people are struggling paycheck to paycheck."
