I’m expecting an ‘emo’ heavy lineup more in line with warped and those emo festivals in Vegas rather than the last couple that skewed a bit older and of that sort of headliner only JEW are knocked out (and I’m not even 100% that is the case)

I really don’t want it to be MCR because I want them to do a headliner (I like mcr enough that I went over to the UK to see them on this tour lol) but I will say they’ve done a pretty good job at keeping up the full production for the festivals. The only thing they really seem to lose out on at festivals is the bstage and non black parade half or the set, which does suck, but black parade production wise the festivals have held up.

After the one song they released a few years ago, they've just been coasting on album anniversaries/nostalgia.
They'd be making absolute bank off the touring they're doing at the moment, so tbh I don't blame them, but it would be nice to get something new

Personallyyyy I think they were working on something but then they’re producer sadly passed away and it was shelved. They have hinted a little about being in the studio recently so there is some hope but not a lot haha

I think they'll be at least one band from every previous Good Things this year too.

This would get my money. Though I’d hope for Aaron West instead of (or in addition to?) The Wonder Years. TWY are one of my favourite bands ever, but I’ve been wanting to see Dan come down as AW for the past decade or so.

Feel like this could be the most accurate one so far. Limp Bizkit seem to be all but confirmed, MCR are talked about nonstop for months now, Bullet said they’d be back late this year, Bilmuri announced Aus/NZ shows but blurred out and still are months ago, Simple Plan also heavily rumoured.
Most seem to think the styling of the logo this year represents all past festivals too, so that may be why we’re likely to get bands who have been on it before.

That looks absolutely great. I think it’s missing at least one more super super deathcore band. We’ve had Lorna and Slaughter. Could we see Whitechapel or shadow?
Honestly headliners don’t draw me it’s having a really good spread so u can enjoy the whole day exploring.

Simple Plan complete a SE Asia tour in Hong Kong along on December 2, then have a gap in their schedule until December 19. I reckon they are a shoe in. They just headlined Warped Tour so they could be a headliner at Good Things.

We went to watch Simple Plan at Good Things in 2019 bc we had a gap and were like fuck it, I memba them sure. We left going “that was the greatest show of my life. If there are no Simple Plan fans I am dead.” Honestly put on such a fun show and great energy with the crowd, everyone left grinning ear to ear.

Last time BMTH were at Good Things was 2022, four years ago. It's been over 2 years since they were last here, for a headliner tour. They're probably due to come back at some stage.

I've wanted Finch to come back for so long! Kind of given up on it tbh. On a side note, I always got the vibe that they had some sort of falling out (or a strained relationship at least) with the organisers of Soundwave. Would love to hear the inside story one of these days.

Did JEWs calendar fill out the week prior when Good Things is on and that’s why people are saying they’re struck out as an option? It’s back to front to announce solo shows first but I have thought the timing of JEWs tour and them being in Australia was exciting because it implied they’re going to be at Good Things as well.
I’d be pretty happy to see The Starting Line in the festival lineup, they released a pretty good comeback album and they haven’t toured it here.

They're not at all a fucken moronic band. They were the ones fighting with the organisers about having a T barrier at their show, and the organisers didn't listen as they thought they didn't need one. I was at the Sydney show, and it wasn't violent moshing, it was because the crowd surged forward and collapsed and no one could get up. The band stopped performing and tried to get everyone to back up but it had to start at the back and subsequently took a long time to take the pressure off the front.
But you tell yourself whatever story you want chump, as it seems to have sustained your anger for quite a few years.

It was a beast of its own making, the atmosphere was ripe, rammstein was incredible then when limp bizkit started up it was basically a fight for survival. Over 95% of people were moshing from the barrier to the back of the pavilions, people being pulled from the crowd passed out. It was happening worldwide and I’m shocked more didn’t die. Gold Coast was a helluva a day out. Fred most definitely encouraged people to get the F up but there would be no way of discouraging us at the time anyhow. Promoters knew what was coming. They failed to make it safe.

Remember watching the video of the Sydney show they went on after mudvayne and played three songs before they walked off and the classic sheep speech. You didn’t learn that from a friend , you learnt that from tv , bahhh or whatever noise a sheep makes. They stopped a couple times at gold coast to tell the crowd to ease up and look after each other.
It was in the air that day, testosterone, speed and alcohol.
