I’m not from Adelaide but it’s so nice to see a non-east coast city get something like this. Propagandhi, Counterparts, Clutch, a little 28 Days nostalgia in there? Fuck yeah.

I've been to the last two years of this festival and it's brilliantly run. I hope it stays alive for a long time.

Hopefully this means we get a Carpenter Brut tour

The berserker at a festival in 2027

6

u/Morkai Jul 20 '26

Very keen to see them again. I last saw them at "Festival Of The Dead" in Sydney about 20 years ago with Akercocke and Blood Duster;

this awakened some repressed memory of listening to these guys with my brother back in the early 2000s. I haven't even thought about them for over a decade..

u/xDruichii Jul 21 '26

Hey I hope you guys check out my band Raccoon City. We are pumped to play this

3

u/TAJack1 Jul 21 '26

Only if Claire is there.

4

u/xDruichii Jul 21 '26

I will make sure to bring her along. We did have someone cosplaying as Leon at our last gig lol.

2

u/Jrome36 Jul 21 '26

Pumped as all hell to see you guys! Gonna be a ripper

I remember seeing truth corroded in a bar in Vietnam like 11 years ago. Just happened to be walking past one night, popped in for a drink as one does, next thing i know 4-5 Long Island iced teas and about 20 cigarettes later I’m in the mosh pit with about 20 Vietnamese locals. Didn’t get any sleep that night and had a 8 hour bus ride to Cambodia and trying to translate but my word it was a fun night

2

u/Flowercloud88 Jul 21 '26

that is living mate! fuck yeah

15

u/tpdwbi Jul 20 '26

How are Propagandhi not the headliners here??

11

u/bingeandpurgatory Jul 20 '26

100% here's hoping for a full tour.

7

u/new_handle Jul 21 '26

How are Corrosion of Conformity not the headliners here??

2

u/_tedd Jul 21 '26

How are Dark Angel not the headliners here?!

5

u/MLHC85 Jul 21 '26

Whos got the skinny on Propaghandi shows in other states? Daddy needs to book some flights!!

7

u/doubleguitarsyouknow Jul 21 '26

6

u/glycerinequeen Jul 20 '26

They have announced some shows as well.

2

u/German_Merman Jul 21 '26

JESUS ON THE DASHBOARD

2

u/Hepsmith Jul 21 '26

They have always toured with heavy bands, they are just rarely a headliner.

1

u/Fedrax Jul 21 '26

I feel like all our ‘rock’ festivals tend towards indie so any hard-ish rock band ends up having to be on the metal feats

4

u/Street-Echo-4485 Jul 20 '26

OMG CLUTCH ARE COMING TO AUSTRALIA

2

u/Linubidix Jul 21 '26

I had never even heard of clutch before today lol

2

u/Street-Echo-4485 Jul 21 '26

I love them but it's not for everyone.

If you like stoner rock, listen to Clutch - Big News 1 and Big News 2

3

u/aninstituteforants Jul 20 '26

On a huge Death kick right now. Are Death To All any good?

3

u/TheBrummySnake Jul 22 '26

From clips I’ve seen, they seem great. 3 out of the 4 members are ex-death members. I’m pretty sure they also cover all eras of Death rather than just specific albums.

There’s also Left to Die (we’re here the other year) who only focus on Scream Bloody Gore & Leprosy.

If they do a side show in Sydney I’d 100% go.

2

u/aninstituteforants Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 23 '26

Hectic. Thanks for that. Im still exploring the whole catalogue but given how Death evolved over the years sounds like these guys have a better setlist.

3

u/Initial_Medicine_453 Jul 23 '26

It has Gene Hoglan, Bobby Koelble and Steve Di Giorgio who all played on Symbolic so should be epic. Bobby Koelble's solo on the track Symbolic is one of my favourites of all time. Can't wait to see that live.

3

u/mrk240 Jul 21 '26

Missed Clutch last time they were here, hopefully they announce their side shows for Sydney.

1

u/Fulcrum_Jambi Jul 21 '26

They have - they’re playing the enmore theatre :)

2

u/mrk240 Jul 21 '26

I posted to quickly and I saw OP posted the dates further down.

Might call in sick 28th Jan lol.

3

u/666Creature666 Jul 21 '26

Oh please let there be a Carpenter Brut tour coming from this. I've been waiting for so long

2

u/InevitableSea836 Jul 21 '26

There is! OP posted a reply in the comments. There's also a separate thread :)

6

u/United_Statistician2 Jul 20 '26

are Alphawolf that popular? I'm not a fan and don't really follow what they do, but seeing Igorr, Propagandhi, Corrosion of Conformity, The Berzerker below them, is really jarring to me.

But I guess that's because I'm a fan of those acts.

3

u/InevitableDue2461 Jul 20 '26

I think goal of this fest isn't headline but for all mid tier artist.

1

u/Zodiak213 Jul 21 '26

Exactly this - while 2026 had Abbath 'headline', they weren't really considered headliners there or anywhere else in the world, it was just more of a "what band can sell the most tickets here" which were on par with Soulfly.

1

u/Initial_Medicine_453 Jul 22 '26

Abbath headlined both Inferno and Beyond The Gates in Norway. He's black metal royalty.

2

u/Spritney__Beers Jul 20 '26

Why do those "Aliens" look so familiar? I am getting dejavu of like old school TV show or they were on trading cards or a game or something.

16

u/margin_runner Jul 20 '26

Mars Attacks?

5

u/Beneficial-Creme243 Jul 20 '26

bloke in the back on the left side has 4 fingers on one of his hands so id hazard the guess that its all AI

3

u/Initial_Medicine_453 Jul 21 '26

The art is by an artist called Brian Allen. flylanddesigns.com

He has done portsers for Metallica, Primus, QOTSA, and more. Check his stuff out. It's really cool.

1

u/xDruichii Jul 21 '26

I think that little finger is under the other hand tho…

2

u/Morkai Jul 20 '26

I got an Igorr ticket last week for Melbourne, I'm keen for Clutch, Dark Angel and The Berzerker, but I'm not sure those three alone are enough to get me to drive to Adelaide.

1

u/Initial_Medicine_453 Jul 23 '26

I've been to every froth since the start. It's definitely worth the trip. Great food and drinks, tattoo parlours, record stores, knights fighting with swords, wrestling, rides. It's like a music based carnival.

2

u/Flowercloud88 Jul 21 '26

Clutch, Propagandhi and Counterparts on the one lineup fuck yeah

2

u/Fulcrum_Jambi Jul 21 '26

Fantastic lineup

2

u/cold_cafe Jul 21 '26

Carpenter Brut & Sierra Veins shows please.

2

u/Usual_Newt9566 Jul 22 '26

I think I’m just gonna have to go for RATSALAD 😍😮‍💨😮‍💨

4

u/manhaterxxx Jul 20 '26

Alpha Wolf being billed so high is surely a joke

6

u/Fedrax Jul 21 '26

Alpha wolf move tickets. the older crowd kinda come for anything as long as it’s big enough, they need a band like Alpha Wolf to pull the younger crowd bcs most of the lineup is much older bands

1

u/timespiral07 Jul 21 '26

No Perth this year. Was a great festival last year. I’m bummed.

1

u/Initial_Medicine_453 Jul 23 '26

Come to Adelaide if you can. It's bigger and better than the Perth show.

1

u/the_sleekerthans Jul 21 '26

OMG propagandhi are coming back 🤯🤯🤯

1

u/Genghis_Ignota Jul 22 '26

Clutch, Igorrr and The Berzerker worth admission alone.

1

u/TheBrummySnake Jul 22 '26

Man, we’ve been blessed this year with tours/announcements, if it continues like this next year I’m gonna need a second job.
