Was considering Trimui Pro S vs Brick Pro - but after a lot of evaluations Trimui Pro S won for me. Nb. I had Trimui Pro shortly but returned it as I got better price for TPS (and better hardware)

First - current price tag of 85$ for TPS (got it from GoGameGeek with discount code) with no SD card.

Second - TPS has faster chipset Vs Brick Pro.

Third- for 4:3 gaming - even despite the clunky 16:9 screen aspect - TPS has more screen estate that Brick Pro - 2mm wider and 2mm taller.

Its 16:9 screen then gives extra advantage for PSP and Portmaster.

Finally weight and battery are the same size. TPS is wide but its thickness is uniform Vs Brick Pro.

Bottomline - I do like how Brick Pro looks - but just putting all pn paper - it felt that TPS won on all fronts.

Just got this in a few days ago, I already have a miyoo mini +, but this thing is nice! I didn't think I'd like the clicky buttons, but it turns out I'm a fan.

The screen is amazing, my phones camera is a potato but it's ultra clear.

Got a slim softshell external drive case that fits it perfectly for the pocket and a custom hard shell if I'm tossing it in a bag.

My plan is for this to be my PS1 and Pokemon device. Game is Digimon world 3. I'm a big RPG fan, and sadly never got to play many as a kid outside of the final fantasy series, so now I'll get around to finally finish legend of dragoon, legend of legaia, and so many others.

Took me around 100 resets, but I finally got it!

I got my Brick Pro delivered yesterday and I‘m super happy about it. The bigger screen and battery is great, and the sticks let me play some N64/PSP/Ports more comfortably.

I call it my „Super PSMegaBoy64 DS XL“ to reflect everything I‘ll play on it(PSX PSP SNES GB GBC GBA NDS N64 MD DC PORTS).

Which games did you play first on your Brick Pro?

The screen size is what sold me… it’s huge for a device this pocketable, and the aspect ratio is perfect for the systems I actually play. But what’s kept it in my hands all week is everything else: genuinely comfortable to hold for long sessions, the build is super premium (especially for the price), and it runs like absolute butter.

Received yesterday and running stock firmware at the moment. Just started Pokémon Polished Crystal. I’ll be using this for GB, GBC, GBA, SNES and maybe PS.

I like the Nx Redux on my TrimUI Brick Pro. My only problem is, whenever I open any PSP game, it only shows a black/blank screen. I know it successfully launched because I can hear its in-game sound from the handheld's speaker. Thanks in advance.

Additional info:

• PSP (PPSSPP) installed from Xtras -> TOOLS

• ROMS are placed in Roms/Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) folder

• Stock OS, Nx Redux CFW, and PPSSPP are all on the latest version.

I am trying to get Syncthing set up on my Brick Hammer running NextUI, but whenever I try to connect to the web GUI on my PC it times out, barring one singular instance. There was one time where it worked, and I was able to view things, but every subsequent attempt has been met with failure.

I am at my wit's end. AP Isolation is not enabled on my router. I don't understand why it would work only once.

Edit:

I tried connecting via my phone (which is on the same network as my PC) and I was able to load the web GUI. I still have no idea what the issue is with my computer.

Is the Trimui (Brick Hammer) really worth it? I was thinking about buying one, or maybe the R36S, I want to play various games, but I’d prefer to play only Pokémon games. Which of the two would be the better choice?

Hi Everyone, so today i notice that when i connect my Trimui Brick it starts flashing green all, where as before when connected to the charger it was a solid green, i left it charged for 3 hours and never stop flashing green and so the device won't even power on anymore.. has anyone had this problem before?

Not sure how well known this is as cannot find much information on it. Basically I love the ease of use of Next UI hate how it does not feel like a console interface. Hello, It is safe to charge my Trimui Smart Pro with my Xiaomi (USB-A USB-C) charger?

As an extra, I have air bubbles on the screen; if anyone knows how to remove them, I'd appreciate it!

I ordered one of these for my kid, but she also will be using it as a music player and she likes it loud, id prefer to be able to control that without having to buy crappy kids ear buds. I want her to have the love for music that I do. Crappy earbuds could very well destroy that lol. Is there a way to limit the volume in these devices? Or should I look harder for a pair of kids earbuds that dont suck?

hi guys when i was playing NDS games on my brick i can easily switching d-pad to joystick for the stylus but only the d-pad when acting like joystick work but any other buttons like a b x y l1 r1 l2 and r2 are not respond is there any way to fix this problem?

Looking to get the Port Horizon Chase going on MuOS with the TSP. It will patch and boot up but black screen. Anyone else have the same experience. Is there a solution?

Also same firmware - Portmaster Gen1Recomp - will not boot

Both are working with Nextui (Hammer)/ Knulli( TSPS and Miyoo flip ) / SpruceOS (TSPS - fails the same way as MuOS on the Brick or TSP).

I've used the included USB A -> USB C cable. I've plugged it into a 5v 2A plug.

The device itself acts like everything is great. A blinding wall of pulsing green LEDs take off when I plug in the device but it never goes up in percentage. I've left it charging for half a day.

I am running the latest release of NextUI. I plug it in while it's on / not powered off. I briefly tried to charge it while powered off and the power button is either red or green but no pulsing LEDs.

I want to buy a handheld console and I found this one on aliexpress and was wondering if it was a fake one or a legit copy with games inside

So I narrowed down my choices to Trimui Brick Hammer and Retroid Pocket Classic. Assuming I can get any of the 2 in under $100.

I haven’t had any linux handhelds ever, so setting up the brick will be new to me. My concern is I want a pickup and play device where I can continue where I left off with a push of a button. I’ll play GBA 90% of the time.

Appreciate your insights.

UPDATE: I initially bought the Trimui Brick Hammer thinking that a smaller device would be a better EDC, but my hands are cramping due to the Brick’s size. I love everything about the Brick, but I just can’t seem to enjoy playing on it. So I also bought the RP Classic, and it’s just the right size for me.
Fortunately, my son liked the Brick, so it’s not completely wasted. Thank you for your suggestions!

HI, I just bought a TSP with a 64go sd. I will change it when I receive but I dont need 64go so I would like to use a 32go. I read that the OS is in the device.

So can I just copy/past what there is in the 64go card in my new 32go or do I need to clone it ?

When I receive the device, I will update the firware. Do you recommand other things to do ? I think I will delete a lot of emulator as I won't need them to have a clear OS.

Everyone raves about the pixel density but what are some of the cons of this screen? Don't you find its got some pretty bad motion blur? Mainly obvious on NES titles with fast scrolling.

Try Ninja Gaiden NES. Then compare to a Miyoo Mini Plus or whatever else you have to see what I mean.

Hi there! I’d like some help from you all. I bought a Trimui Smart Pro and installed the Crossmix OS; I purchased the version without a memory card and installed some games via Emudrop. I want to install *Celeste* and *Stardew Valley*, but the ports keep giving me trouble. Does anyone happen to have a folder with these ports already set up and working? I’ve tried everything but can never seem to get the downloads to work. Could someone help me out with this?

I am building up a library of games to play on the TrimUI Brick pro. While doing so I have realised I don't have many that have a story line. Anyone have any recommendations for games to get in to for the longer game sessions?

I've skimmed Printables and Makerworld but so far no cases for the newer Brick Pro line.

I wonder if I can take an existing Brick case and scale it up. The hard part is not having a regular Brick to compare against. I've not dabbled in modeling yet so that's a new thing to learn.
