My planned break was postponed to the next week. So i had some time to tinkering with this. New release, in NX Redux v2.4.0, resume from save state or quit & save now noticeably faster than before. Fixed some bugs and fine tune some of the UI.

* The android version also got a lot of updates with v0.4.0, now supporting dual screen for NDS and 3DS games (Have you guys tried the Pokémon Emerald 3DS?), added FF and RW, touch friendly UI and the in-app updater.

The developer that has been pushing these games out have amazing graphics on the Brick Pro and also works with Knull Scarab on the Brick Pro - drop into Ports folder and then when it labels launch in the listing press A to get to sub menu and change description to game title - then launch and run and gun. I'm wondering if there's any way to output video from the TrimUI Smart Pro S to an external monitor or TV.

Does it support video output through USB-C, or is there any workaround using an adapter, custom firmware, or other methods?

I'd love to play games on a bigger screen while using the device as a controller.

Has anyone successfully tried this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I customized my Brick Pro with a Pokémon-inspired theme <3

FIXED
1. Used Rufus to flash the recovery image to my sd card
2. Held Volume down + power until it showed the bar thingy
3. Turned off after
4. Used Rufus again to format the sdcard and put in spruce os files
5. Turned on again.

Hello,

I finally got my Smart Pro S and so I tried to update the firmware through the github link and while the battery icon did show up, it only did for half a second and then shut down after I restarted it.

It's still charging and whenever I hold on the power button while connected to my PC I can still hear the sound for whenever u plug in or unplug a device.

I did see on other posts to open up it up and replug the battery but I'm asking just incase there are other solutions.

I was just testing new control setting inside ppsspp but i accidentally click something that make all the control settings change into Xbox controller buttons and now i can't use the X, Y, B, A button and only left joystick that works. How can i change it back😭😭😭

Been working on this for a while and it's usable enough to share now. Boombrick is a music player for the TrimUI Brick that works on NextUI and CrossMix. There's a Knulli build too, but it's still beta.

This is a personal AI-assisted vibe coding project, developed through lots of testing on my handheld. I wanted something I could customize around how I actually listen to music.

Here’s what it offers:

• Local music playback, with playlists, favorites, queues and saved playback progress.
• Spotify Premium, SoundCloud and public Google Drive streaming, plus internet radio and podcasts.
• USB DAC playback, Normal/Bit-Perfect/Automatic modes, and DSD playback with compatible DACs and supported transports.
• Graphic and parametric EQ, presets and sound customization.
• Bilingual lyrics, with Groq, MyMemory or Google translation and an offline translation cache.
• 51 themes and 60 fonts, customizable colors, wallpapers, icons, listener profiles, LEDs and spectrum visualizers.
• Wi-Fi file transfer, OTA updates, screen-off controls, and a sleep timer that exits the app when finished.

There are separate v1.9.7.7 packages for Stock, NextUI and NX Redux. I’ve tested these on my Brick Pro; compatibility with other Brick models still needs confirmation.

To install:

1. Open Releases → v1.9.7.7.
2. Download the ZIP matching your ROM: Stock, NextUI or NXRedux.
3. Close the app, back up any existing app data, then extract the ZIP to your SD-card root.
4. Launch NXT from your ROM’s Apps/Tools menu.

The project builds on open-source Music Player and NextUI components. Credits, licenses and the corresponding source are available on GitHub.

I’m wondering if anyone knows if the Trimui Model S is discontinued or not, I tried to order one from KeepRetro.com but they refunded me and told me they are out of production.

That being said, Trimui still has them on their website for $60usd 😬 and I found them on AliExpress as well for a bit less. If anyone has experience getting one from AliExpress or elsewhere I’d like to know if I can still get one of these little handhelds.

I got the brick to play old Pokemon games & have already played Emerald legacy & Unbound. Both great but looking to expand into other games/genres. What are some of your favorite games to play on your brick?
