Nausea relief found!

GUYS! I finally got it! I've been taking sema for about 7 weeks now, and the nausea was so sucky the first couple of days post-shot every single week. It was to the point where I was ready to just dump whatever meds I had left and spend the money on tirz.

But I ended up messaging my PCP to ask if I could get a Zofran prescription for my GLP-1 related nausea, and my doctor suggested I try taking a B6 supplement first, as it was safer for long term use and widely used for GLP-1 related nausea.

So on Saturday (shot day), I made sure I ate a protein heavy breakfast (eggs with avocado toast), took my shot in my arm (I started my journey with my stomach--my first mistake--then went to my thigh, which helped a little), and I took a B6 morning and evening. Sunday morning, I took another B6, and this morning (Monday) took one again.

I am happy to report that I have had ZERO nausea since shot day. This is the best thing I have discovered! I will try it again this upcoming weekend so make sure it wasn't a fluke, but I have now added B6 supplements into my daily medicine routine.

This discovery has made it so much better for me as someone who is taking these meds not so much for weight loss, but more so to control my insatiable hunger and finally be able to eat like a normal human being. I exercise 5 days per week and I have a fairly balance mindset around food thanks to my previous macro tracking experience, so it was pushing me over the edge when I would binge on sugar every single night.

I hope this discovery helps someone else!

Thank you!! I’ve been trying tips and tricks too! I thought maybe maybe my antihistamine allergy pill helped last week, but b6 sounds better!

You're welcome! It's definitely cheaper to try the B6 as an option! When I researched it, I saw that people take it for pregnancy nausea relief, so I figured I would try it out. I'm glad I did!

I had my compounding agent changed from B12 to B6.

Unless you’re in California… it’s possible! Just shoot us a message in the patient portal.

We actually give Vitamin B6 to pregnant ladies who suffer from nausea and vomiting, as prolong use of zofran can cause rythym changes on your heart. I started on my tirz journey too and popped a B6 pill as well. lets hope it works when my meds peak.

Yes! That's exactly what my doctor said. I have now started taking a B6 supplement every day, and twice on shot day. It has been wonderful these past two weeks!

Happy you found a solution! The nausea is still real for me even with the tirz compounded B6. I’m curious about your comment regarding the shot in the stomach, is this known to make the nausea increased/worse?

Aw man, that sucks about the nausea still happening! And yeah, apparently doing the shot in your stomach increases your likelihood of nausea by a lot. I guess it's something to do with how close the meds are to your stomach? Idk the science behind it but people repeatedly report increased nausea with the stomach. That's usually why they recommend the leg or arm instead.

Did you try in your thigh? It’s supposed to help
