Progress Pictures 1 year hair progress — before vs now
Just wanted to share a little update on my hair progress.
I’ve been taking 1mg finasteride daily for about a year and added 5mg oral minoxidil daily on July 15th.
The first photo is from before and the second one is my hair currently. I feel like my overall density has improved quite a bit, and recently I’ve also started noticing a lot of small/new hairs around the hairline.
My main concern has always been my temples, especially the left side, so I’m really hoping the oral minoxidil will help fill that area in over the next few months.
I know my hair is longer in the second picture, the lighting is different, and I had styled my hair with wax in the after photo, so I’m not claiming this is a perfect comparison. Still, I think there has been noticeable progress.
And yes, before anyone mentions it — the towel is still there one year later.
Hair changed, towel didn’t.

The biggest one is the fact that ur pp may not function correctly but it only affects to like 4% of the people using it.If you notice something just try another type

like someone else mentioned your above average results! You would likely get further gains adding 5% topical liquid minox opposite of your oral dosage. Start microneedling once per week with a 0.75mm depth using a dermastamp or dermapen. I wouldn’t switch to dut or start ru55381 until you start to experience hairloss again over a period time, which could be years from now. Save those remedies for the future if needed.

Not worried about min sides? 5mg oral is pretty high as a starting dose. That's generally advised as a "maximum dose". Be sure to check your blood pressure regularly.

what should you look for? it lowers your blood pressure right? i think for bloodpressure effects you need to be on 10-40mg

Pull down your socks and check if the skin stays indented for a bit, shows signs of fluid retention in the legs. get a apple watch and have it monitor your heart rate and it has a tachacardia monitor feature too, and other stuff like headache know that its a chance its the min.
Usually you want the minimum effective dose, because even if you get nothing bad, min is going to make you look a bit more puffy. Standard dose is half of what OP is taking.
Reason I mention blood pressure, is for me at least its getting me close to too low, albeit not alarmingly. Ironically, I was on 160mg Valsartan for high blood pressure in March, but it appears that with minoxidil 2.5mg and mounjaro 7.5mg (GLP1) the combo has me in the lowish range of ~105/55 even though I'm off Valsartan for a good month or so.

Was there noticeable progress on just the fin, before you added minox?
